My mom brought home lunch for us from the Curry House Ala Moana location today. I’ve been eating from this establishment since the 90’s. First McCully, then the Aiea location and once in awhile here at the Ala Moana location. Its Been awhile since i ate here so i was really looking forward to it. I love the Curry from Curry House Coco Ichibanya alot. My favorite is always the Kalibi Curry, Mild Sauce with Corn. My mom loves the Oyster Curry Mild Sauce and Corn and my Husband the Tonkatsu Curry with Mild Sauce and Corn. I noticed the rice was less than before, but more concerning than that, it was mushy. Unacceptable. Absolutely Unacceptable. I don’t need to explain why. The flavor was good. If it wasn’t for the rice and portion sizes i would have given 5 stars but they should be happy they got 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ considering they messed up rice!!! Anyway, think i will go back to the Aiea location for now. Hope they don’t disappoint me. Stay tuned.

I’ve been to other locations on the mainland, the food is amazing. Disappointed their seating section was closed. Having to eat in the mall was absolute craziness. Can’t complain about the food, although the portions seemed a bit small.

A friend of mine that lived in Japan recommended this spot to me so I really wanted to try it.

It is Coco’s, same as in Japan; however, the taste varies. I have visited this shop every time I visited Hawaii (5 times overall) and the taste has been different. Sometimes it taste just like it does in Japan and other times is different. Consistency is important, since in Japan, I have eaten at Coco’s on Okinawa, in Tokyo, and in Fukuoka; the taste is the same. The seating area was closed at the time of my visit, but there is ample seating at the food court just steps away.

I really liked the food. I would eat here again for sure. I had lightly crisped chicken cutlets with mild curry….it was really good. It is mostly order and go, with limited seating right there, but tons of sets in food court. Food came reasonably fast. I ordered during busy time. Staff was really nice.

Great value for the amount of food you receive. And their personal dining area is still closed, but the rest of the seating at the food court is only a few steps away. Overall I can’t complain. And bring cash unless you want to pay a 3% surcharge on a purchase with a credit card.

Pretty good curry. But with the dining area closed, the meal is served with cheap utensils which lowers the overall experience. The portions are also below what you would expect.

We miss dining in at Pearl Kai location so we finally made time to go to McCully location and we loved it. Food just taste better when you dine in, instead of ordering take out haha Will be coming back more often till Pearl Kai gets it together and reopen to dine in

It’s not the same as Japan, but I reco the shrimp cutlet curry and getting oyster fry and add it on. You won’t be disappointed.
