Best dry pot Ive had in the bay area so far. Perfectly spicy and flavorful. Loved the sweet and sour fried pork too. Presentation was excellent. Staff were super friendly. I’d drive to Newark again for this spot.

I absolutely love this place. It’s a gem in Fremont area. We tried their customized malatang – good broth and ingredients are really fresh; eggplant- flavorful; and pork chop- crispy, well-marinated, and tender. Another highlight is the customer service here, very hospitable waiters. I will come back for their Guobaorou 🙂

Malaban is really authentic. Guobaotou needs long waiting, and it is customized to a more sweet taste, but it’s very crispy Overall like this restaurant as it’s somewhat authentic to my hometown flavor.
