Ordered the pulled pork platter, and the pork was tender, had a good smokey flavor, but was a bit turned off when a large piece of fat was found with the meat, an indication that some education is still needed to differentiate tender pork from squishy fat. The mash potato was a bit on the salty side. Also ordered the sampler, and was extremely disappointed – included 4 short ribs, a small dish of pulled pork, and 3 slices of beef brisket. This costs $36. It came with 3 sides, but definitely not worth the money ! The advertised 1.5 lb of meat is misleading probably because of the rib bones that add to the weight but something best left to your dog, if you happen to have one. I think a full rack of ribs with 2 sides would have been a better choice.

I called to order takeout and asked if they would make a platter of just Brisket and Ribs without the pulled pork ($35). That is not an option on the menu, and they were not willing to accommodate my request. I even asked to speak to a manager, but I was told that he was on another call. This was upsetting to me, but for $7 more, I could have a full rack of ribs and 1/2 pound of Brisket, so I agreed. I then wanted to order the small order of 6 wings listed on their website, but they told me that their web menu was not updated, and only had a larger order of wings for more money. After some back and forth they agreed to give me the smaller order of wings. I almost gave up, given the frustration I experienced when placing my order, but I have been wanting to try this new place out for weeks! I also ordered Coleslaw and Mashed Potatoes as sides.

Stopped here for lunch today. Had the burnt ends sandwich which was great! Tried both the original sauce and the hot, both very tasty. The owner and the waiter were friendly. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes and try their craft beer selection when they get their liquor license finalized. -John
