This is such a fun place to go eat and dance. The food is always great, I got the boiled Dungeness crab, and my husband got the pork chop, and they both were amazing. I also had a lemon drop martini, and it was so delicious I had to have two! I have so many memories as a child, coming here with my grandparents and dancing with my Paw-paw. He taught me how to two step to zydeco on that dance floor, and I’ll always cherish this place because of these memories. I’m glad to see it’s still popping and serving delicious food! Next time we come down, I’ll bring the kids so they can experience the magic, too.

My friends took me here this past weekend. I loved the food for the most part it was one of the best I’ve had in Louisiana. I got the Barbeque Crabs, the Stuffed Jalapeno (it was a bit cold and mushy stuffing but overall good). I also got to try the Blackened Gator Bites which were amazing.

Absolutely outstanding food. The owner was very responsive on Facebook and happens to be a fellow pilot. He had recommendations of the blackened oysters which are insane and could probably finish 3-4 orders as an entree. Also had the BBQ crabs, and wife had the Bangin BBQ shrimp! It was all gone by the time we got done with it.

We went on Saturday. It was a busy night. We were a table of 12. We ordered our appetizers and entrees. It was a bit slow coming, but that was expected considering how busy it was. When the food came mine was missing. The waitress walked away immediately. I assumed she was heading to get my plate. Water glasses stood empty and most where done with their meal before we finally saw her to flag her down. We asked for water refills and I told her I didn’t get my food. She just shrugged her shoulders and asked if I wanted it. I told her not to bring it for her to remove it from my bill and to bring the check. Everyone was done with there meal. No apologies give by my waitress which ticked me off. Ten minutes later while still waiting for my check the owner passed by and we tell her that a whole meal was absent and she shrugged and said oh well we’re slammed tonight. . No apology given. She didn’t look surprised or unhappy that this happened. Then another 20 minutes passed before I flagged the waitress down and demanded my check. The food wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great either. Service was poor, salads not brought, and water glasses left empty. After my experience I’d say that I will definitely never step foot in DIs again.

We had a ball!! The owner, Sherry, was so sweet and has very interesting stories about her restaurant in the middle of nowhere! Worth the drive! Add this to your list of things to do in this area. Eating, drinking, Cajun music, dancing! Great evening! Thank you, Sherry, for making us feel so welcome and also for a big piece of your special bread pudding!!

Very good cajun food. This place gets crowded pretty quickly, so I suggest getting there early. Although we got there early, staff still let us in to wait. Comfortable seating, we didn’t feel too close to others. There is live music and an area to dance if you’d like. Menu has frog legs, oysters, fish, alligators, shrimp, burgers, poboys, crabs, ribs, etc. Their dessert bread pudding was also really good. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Parking was probably the most difficult part, as when we went to leave it was so packed it was hard to get out.
