Stepping inside from the main street is akin to transporting to a dimension crafted to transcend dining. You immediately forget the world outside, as you are greeted like family. Decor is warm and inviting and is outdone by the menu offerings. I highly recommend the Saltimbocca di Maiale which had a wonderful flavor and texture. For dessert, the Millejoglie was the perfect combination of flaky puff pastry and creamy orange custard. Da Fillipo’s offers a wonderful dining experience, which may also include a musical serenade by the owner whose musical abilities round out the offerings at this fine dining establishment.

An exceptional establishment. My grandparents have been going here for over 40 years for special occasions and I was finally able to join them to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. It was an honor to meet Filippo and is family. Delicious from beginning to end. DONT skip the creme brulee.

Visisting NJ for my bday and googled restaurants near me and this one seemed pretty good. It was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious . The service was immaculate and it was an all around great time. Would recommend. Dont remember the name of the meals but i have uploaded the pics. Also, wasn’t aware that you bring your own wine which is pretty cool. This nice couple next to us shared theres with us which was so nice of them. Highly recommend this place. I ordered desert the flan (not my favorite of all the dishes)and i mentioned my bday earlier and the lady gave me a candle and sang me happy bday. So so sweet of her. Great atmosphere and cozy.

My son made reservations for dinner as a present for me to celebrate mother’s day. This was my first time at this restaurant. The food was fantastic. I chose the cod fish fillet in parchment paper. It was bursting in flavor. The rest of the meals met and exceed our expectations. We all loved the atmosphere and the food.

Amazing night at Da Filippo! My wife had a great meal a few weeks ago. Muscles Appetizer, Salad, and 2 Shrimp & Pasta dishes. We enjoyed meeting and getting to know the owners. Very nice people! We are definitely going back many more times. Highly recommend!

This is the spot for Italian cooking in Somerville I met Filippo doing shopping one night with my fiance; Filippo insisted we come to his restaurant some time, when we went everything was absolutely the best experience around!!!! You can’t beat it!!!! If you wanted the same experience you would have to go to New York City, Da Filippo beats Wolfgang’s (on the other end of Somerville) and I mean BLOWS THEM OUT OF THE WATER!!!! Filippo will also play the piano for his guests creating a absolutely beautiful environment and atmosphere!! He is definitely a great piano player!! Filippo runs the restaurant with his wife and they run It with passion, love of cooking and his guests! One thing to note you must get dressed up very nice to attend Filippos and for good reason it is 100% a upscale restaurant that more people need to know about !!

This place is legit! From the moment we walked in we were greeted very formally. The appetizer was outstanding, bruschetta with home made bread. The risotto cooked to perfection, and my wife cleaned her plate, no left overs. This is real classic Italian cuisine. Brought me back to new york, a true mom and pop shop fine dining at its best. The owners are very passionate and introduced themselves. My wife and I will be coming back routinely.
