Don’t let the small shop fool you, the food is good! I brought home takeout: jerk chicken taco dinner and jerk steak taco dinner. Brought home some of their mild and spicy jerk sauces too. The service was great, the food was delicious. As a Latino, I was expecting the rice and beans to not meet expectations, but I was wrong. My first bite of the beans and rice was great and I kept going. We shared the tacos and it is definitely worth trying them both. They each have their own flavor, as they should, and each is good. They’ve been at the new location for five months now and I can’t believe I waited this long to try their food. I’ll have to go again and you should too.

We went in on their day off and they still served us. We have been dying to try this and it was delicious!! The owner had great conversations about the food and took time to talk with my partner about her being a vegan. She tried the vegan tacos(she loved them!), I tried the jerk chicken tacos and they were amazing! Flavor great! Will be going back soon! Thank you to the owners for taking the time and showing amazing hospitality.

I seriously cannot say enough positive things about Da Flava Unit. They were amazing to work with for our block party. Communication was amazing, they were accommodating to a date change, so friendly, and the food was out of this world. The jerk chicken and tacos were fabulous. I’ve never tasted anything so good. And the potato salad and rice and beans were outstanding.
