This is a great restaurant, not just any pizzeria! The food is very tasty and creatively put together. Our favorite dishes that we always pick are the Focaccia Di Recco, which looks like a calzone but much better, and the Spring Salad (pictured below), which features hazelnuts and it’s tastier than any pizza place can make! The last time we tried the Grilled Striped Bass over polenta (also pictured), which was super tasty. They also make Italian cocktails and have outdoor seating. Enjoy!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at da LaPosta, and it was a wonderful experience! I had the chicken parmesan and subbed the house made rigatoni as my side. It was delicious! I sampled husband’s margherita pizza too, and it was so good! Loved the crust. The drinks and desserts were great too. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Street parking was easy to find as well. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant!

Got the carbonara and meatballs to go. Prices are on the steeper side but overall pretty good food. Didn’t think either dish was mindblowing but good enough. Probably will not get pasta if I go again, as it seems pizza is their main.

Fantastic Italian restaurant in Newton MA. Huge menu. Outstanding wine list. Incredible waitstaff. Meatballs were best appetizer. Gnocchi was outstanding. Pizza have a thin crust really done in wood fire oven. Chicken Parmigiana very well done. Just no negatives anywhere. Lots of parking nearby. Absolutely recommended.

I went here with friends recently and absolutely loved it! The pizzas were excellent and a good size to share for two hungry people. The focaccia was only ok and I’m not sure if I would get it again. The real standout here was the chicken parmigiana! While expensive, it does justify its price with quality and quantity. I had to take half of it home because of the sheer volume! I also subbed out the broccoli rabe for a pasta at no extra cost so I would definitely recommend that if you want to get the most bang for your buck.

This review is a tough one to write. I am primarily basing the review on pizza, which should be the most important dish on their menu… they are a pizzeria after all. It is clear that da LaPosta makes the effort to go the extra mile by using top quality ingredients and their wood-fired pizza oven is just beautiful – but at the end of the day it all has to come together, and in my experience it just didn’t.

Great neighborhood gem. Fantastic charred octopus and New Haven clams pizza. We look forward to trying their pasta dishes on the dinner menu. Great atmosphere, clean decor, and friendly service. This place deserves a lot of attention in the neighborhood. Better signage and marketing are needed.
