This is a nice takeout chicken sandwich spot in Old Town Pasadena. The chicken fillet was moist but not too spicy even though I ordered it “Extra Hot” but the fries were seasoned well. Limited Street parking outside on Dayton.

Louisiana Style chicken sandwich was one the best I’ve tried. Breast meat was so juicy and tender, I had to ask if it wasn’t really thigh meat. They have multiple style sandwiches with different levels if hot for each. They have out door seating, it’s very clean, and the owner was very friendly. Couple that sandwich with a Dad’s rootbeer and your taste buds will be dancing with joy.

Great food, my experience at Daddy’s Chicken Shack was excellent. I ordered a Big Daddy Sandwich for $13 plus $5 for an extra chicken patty on the sandwich I think, sweet potato fries, and a side of blue cheese, a side of sour cream, and a side of ranch. I also ordered this great tasting grape soda, it was sweet so, I’d say it’s a sharing half and half soda. The chicken is buttermilk chicken, so it was moist and tasty. It was deep fried but didn’t give me heartburn or indigestion, it was great with the Napa slaw in the sandwich and matching tasting great bun. The sweet potato fries were deep fried butt not too greasy, and have a good flavor to the sweet potato. All of the ingredients this restaurant used were really good quality. The service every time I go here, a lot of times, has always been great, they must do some kind of little Customer Seevice talk strategy amongst the Staff. The food sometimes might take a while to prepare because it’s kind of detailed.

We ordered the chicken bowl and Spicy Daddy. They’re not too bad. The chicken was decently fried without too much of the breading. It wasn’t as spicy as the other reviewers have commented. The star is the black rice from the bowl. That’s really unique around here.

Tiny Pasadena storefront, serving spectacular chicken sandwiches and fries! They have a wide selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The chicken sandwich was seasoned perfectly, was moist and juicy, and cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and perfectly salted, and they have a great selection of salads as well. I would definitely come back here.

Insanely good popcorn chicken and chicken sandwich! The chicken is so crispy and fresh. I’ve been hunting through LA for the best fried chicken, so far this is the best I’ve had. Makes some of the popular places seem just “ok”.

Fried-chicken focused restaurant with sandwiches, tenders, and wings. There are vegan options as well as salad/bowl options for the more health-conscious. They’re currently operating during covid, and you can place an order online for pickup or get delivery with the usual suspects. There’s an ordering kiosk in the restaurant as well. Our food was ready later than estimated, but not by much. Paid street parking is available (paid even on Sundays) and it’s located right across a park if you wanted to picnic. Service was okay, if a bit abrupt.
