Lots of local ambiance, with historic pictures and ephemera on the walls. It’s just a little space inside to eat, a bit outside of the downtown area, but it’s a great way to chat with the other diners and some of the locals. The food was good. I loved the corn dog the best. Recommend for a visit to a place that has all the best of “old school”.

Wow. What a wonderful surprise. Some friends told us about this place and they were absolutely correct. This place embodies small town NC. Its a burger place but so much more. We had cheeseburgers, fries and onion rings. One of the best burgers around. The atmosphere is intimate and you may have to wait to get a seat but it’s entirely worth it. The service was excellent and the staff knew the regular customers by their first name. Don’t be fooled by the outside. Go in and eat 5 star food. We can’t wait to go back.

I actually owe 10 dollars and that busy waitress a tip I forgot they only take cash but it was too late there she was with the bag of food and there I was late with only plastic sorry mystery waitress…..I love this place btw you can have your food inside and its like a 50’s dinner or you can have it in your car like a drive in I love those things and it’s good old down home burgers and fries type of place and they make a good cup of coffee!

We we’re driving around this beautiful area and we drove past “The Dairy Center” we were so confused, we had to check it out. So we walked in and were greeted with super nice staff. The food was great, and the ice cream was amazing. The decor was beautiful. When we we’re trying to pay it turned out to be cash only. We only had card, so they let us make a run to the ATM and get some cash. We returned and paid, this was a super memorable trip.

Long-standing establishment serving up fresh & delicious burgers, hot dogs, slaw, fries, ground steak sandwiches, and much more. I have never stepped foot inside the place. Fortunately, they offer carhop service. Be prepared to have a short wait as they prepare everything to order. Carhops are kind & efficient. Check it out!

The food is really good here as this is a local diner place in Mount Airy, North Carolina. I recommend the chuckwagon sandwich and strawberry ice cream they have. You can order from your car or go inside. Although, I wish they had a better outdoor menu with prices. You have to ask for a menu from the car hop if you sit in your car to eat. Also, please take cash to pay with because they don’t use debit cards. The picture below is of a hotdog and onion rings I ordered, which is really good too.
