Awful service. We’ve been waiting almost more than an hour for our blizzards. Still waiting as I type this.We only ordered 3 things!! While we were waiting we saw multiple people go through the line and get their food before us. Everyone through the drive through was served before us. People who came in after us half an hour later and ordered more got their ice cream before us. I do not recommend going to this Dairy Queen ever! More than enough people working and it wasn’t even busy. Ridiculous.

We waited 27 minutes for our food and it was cold when we received it. The tables needed cleaned. I asked for a refund and didn’t receive one. Very bad service! What has happened to the great service DQ used to have. Almost every DQ I have visited in Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha, the service is terrible!

Our family likes to visit this Dairy Queen regularly! The Johnson Ave location is my favorite because they have the best quality food and good service. We had frequented at the Wilson Avenue location many times but received undercooked food there or our order would just be messed up in some way.

The food is good at DQ. The ice cream is never ever cold enough. It begins to MELT, IMMEDIATELY & pretty rapidly. They need to turn the temp much colder on their ice cream machines. By the time we get our orders home, (which literally takes only 5 min or less), the ice cream is so soft & melty that we have to put all the orders into our deep freezer & leave them for at least 30 min or more. I don’t want to eat mushy, runny or milky ice cream, nor does my family, (esp. at the DQ prices, which aren’t cheap).

Literally sat in drive thru for over 15 minutes, pulled up to order food and was told the grill closed at 830, the clock just turned 8:31 as I was sitting there. The lady didnt even apologize. Then I was forced to wait in the line because there was no way out.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The young lady that was taking the order at 745 through the drive thru was very rude and didn’t have good manners. Then they handed the banana split to me the strawberry sause leaked out and got all over my hand and dipped all over my seat and steering wheel. They gave us no napkins and had to put it in a plastic bag I had in the car as it was super runny. I got home,cleaned the car and then set the 3 items on the counter and realized that the health blizzard had hardly any candy pieces in it, the cookie dough one had only 5 pieces of cookie dough in it and the banana split looked terrible as the ice cream was very soupy. The ice cream was not all the way frozen on tasted terrible. I will not be going to the Johnson Ave DQ ever again. The photos were taken 5 minutes after I received it. The restaurant was easy to find with ample parking. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean and easy to find. Overall the place was clean. My family all ordered milkshakes to go, once on the road my husbands milkshake cup split down the middle, making a mess in our car. The cups were of a very poor quality and with very little pressure split. Had the cup held I would have rated higher.

Ordered a small heath blizzard with chocolate ice cream and they verbally confirmed that it’s with chocolate ice cream and then asked if all the other blizzards were with chocolate ice cream as well. The heath blizzard was not made with chocolate ice cream (which happens often when I go) and a different blizzard I ordered as a medium was made a small. Waited literally 30 minutes in the drive thru with only about 5 cars ahead of me when I arrived. The staff was friendly tho
