The food here is really good and it always looks good too… We always go through here for a blizzard run and I always get the firehouse Burger but sometimes I try different things like their hot dogs which are also very good…but as you can see from these photos these burgers are beautiful almost like a commercial looking Burger… This Dairy Queen is a good one I usually go through the drive-through so I’ve never been inside.

We got 3 blizzards, Oreo Brookie, NY cheesecake, and brownie. They were all good. However, they aren’t made quite the same as the ones in Portsmouth. Portsmouth adds more syrup but Barboursville adds more chunks. The ice cream is always recommended, and the service is good.

I cannot recall the last time I was actually served a blizzard upside-down as advertised, but this place did!! Service was prompt AND friendly, my chicken was tender and not dry from over-cooking. Definitely a satisfying stop, and I wish there was one nearer to where I live!

I love their chocolate ice cream cones. The grandkids enjoy getting ice cream cones from here too. I like their peppered gravy too. You can sit outside to eat if you like and if there’s a place to sit which is nice especially on a really nice night.

Prices on the drive thru menu are not correct. Every combo I ordered was $2 to $3 higher than what was on the menu. The excuse they have was that drinks and fries were not included. It’s a combo. What the hell is included in the combo…
