They made my order wrong, so I asked in a pretty calm and polite manner for what I ordered/paid for since what I ordered was completely different and more expensive than what they gave me. The red-headed cashier had an attitude about it, and when it came time to bring out my actual order, the cashier thought it would be funny/cute to hold the blizzard upside down over my head. I’ve had blizzards before so I know that you hold it upside down, but I’ve never had an employee hold it upside over me before as if to taunt/disrespect me with the possibility of having ice cream fall all over me. Honestly, the ice cream was not worth the wait or hassle in associating with the employment at this store. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE.

Standing at the counter waiting for our ice cream I looked down to find fries on the floor. I get that this happens in fast food but the issue was not that there was a fries on the floor but that they were covered in hundreds of ants! The floor was moving 2 feet away from the ice cream machine. Makes you wonder what other areas have bugs crawling. Keep a clean kitchen!!

This is by far the best ice cream place in Ankeny! Exceptional service, and amazing quality! Claire and Aveanna were so kind, and made sure that my food and blizzard was made correctly and quickly! I will definitely be returning soon!

We’ve tried multiple times over the last few years but it has never been a good experience at this location. The food can be fine once you get it. But expect to wait 5-10 minutes for every car in the drive-thru. And we’ve never gotten a food order at the window, they always have us pull around and park, then wait another 20 or 30 minutes before they bring it out.

Watched our fries get put up and sit in the window for over 15 minutes while we waited for everything. People that came in after us got served before us. Our ticket even timed out and had to be asked 3 times what our order was. Blizzard wasn’t even fully mixed through. Saw another family almost finished with one child still not having hers. Will not be back.

Went through the drive thru tonight and was pleasantly surprised by the kind young man who took my order. I pulled up to the window to find an older gentleman with a gray beard who was even more wonderful. He asked that I pull through and park to wait for my food. I am not sure how long I waited but it was probably 25 minutes. I watched the older gentleman greet customers and run that drive through like he owned the place. He was all over, doing everything. He brought me my food and apologized for the wait and assured me that the kitchen is busting a** (my words not his) back there. He thanked me for being patient and went back to work. If this man isn’t the shift manager, he should be and one thing I know for sure is that he deserves a raise! Also wanted to note that they were absolutely swamped. The 25 minute wait was justified/understandable.

We enjoyed our blizzards today. However when we drove up to the window, it was very surprising to see that the window and the space beneath the window was very dirty. Not a very good impression. It wouldn’t take much to keep this area clean. Kind of a turnoff. I hope this was helpful. The next time we and others drive up, I hope we have a different experience.

I understand that they are short staffed but I find it a little ridiculous that I have to wait 25 minutes in the drive through with 3 people in front of me. And when I get my order it is leaking all out of the cup and they have no napkins. And then when I get home to eat it, it doesn’t have 2 of the main ingredients in it. Not happy with the service…
