Just reading all these reviews ..this is the reason I stopped going to DQ Platte City, Culvers is a good replacement if you want Blizzard/ice cream and food…at DQ Platte City, I was always ignored, poor food prep., immature giggling over the drive thru intercom etc. Etc. I stopped eating there last summer. Its sad because its the customer service and employees that drive away business not the food/DQ QUALITY.

The young obese curly haired boy is very unfriendly, never said a word to us, or even acknowledged we were at the window. When he handed out our order, I asked for lids , but he did not like that. Then he tried to hand me the ice cream cups, both laying flat in his hand and just about dropped them. He is very unprofessional, and he needs a lot of work might think about working somewhere he does not have to talk to someone in the future.

Love their blizzard cakes for birthday celebrations. We even mentioned that we were doing a “Minecraft” themed party and the writing on the cake matched the theme. Definitely recommend for great cakes, cool treats and friendly staff.

This location must be a great one for Dairy Queen as they are always busy nearly every time I have been here. Although the service inside seemed fairly slow the staff was friendly and also it appeared that at least one person was in training. The atmosphere is nice good lighting and relatively clean. My wife and both enjoyed our blizzards.
