I’ve run through this Dairy Queen’s drive through about a half dosen times and it’s always so good. Fast food can be a hit or miss expeirence, but the consistency I’ve seen at this particular establishment tells me it has a dedicated team and strong leadership.

Was decent. It’s a small thing but I’ll call it out. Texas toast is a thing. When you pass off regular bread saying it’s Texas toast…well I’m kinda offended. I asked the manager and apparently didn’t know the difference. Let me break it down. Texas toast is simply a thick cut. 1.5 to 2 times of a normal cut. That’s all it is. Seems frivolous but when you say Texas toast with a regular piece of bread your not just misrepresented bread but maybe Texas in general?

Ordered sauced and tossed chicken basket and the chicken was all shredded, looked like someone had chewed and spit back into basket. Iced tea, which is usually good, was also sitting for long and tasted nasty.

I think it was a decent dairy queen. Don’t confuse the three stars for hating on it; it is, after all, a corporate chain using frozen, internationally shipped ingredients. My #1 was what I expected. I ate bites of my kids’ burgers and woah, just a dry, rubbery patty on a dry bun absent ketchup, mayo, mustard, cheese, and any possible topping. I suppose I could have asked for those things, but typically when options are possible service provides them at time of order. The fries were a 6/10. The mini blizzards were as expected. The kids’ meal milks came with straws that required a surgeon’s hands to use effectively. The facility was a 7/10 on cleanliness, a 6/10 on stocked for customer use; straws empty, ketchup smears on pump, un-bused tables, and the restroom was about the same. The area is great! Walk to the park and playground at WA Bush, or just down the sidewalks of College or Yelm. The cherry blossoms in this area are beautiful in late April/early May.
