We are a made-to-order burger and ice cream shop! Nothing is ever made ahead of time but always fresh and made how you like it! We are known for our burgers, ice cream and chill environment.
The Dairy Shack has been here since 1968 and is a destination for tourists and locals alike. Everything is made “to-go” but if there is room (which there usually is) you can eat on the patio at a picnic table.
Our menu is pretty big so we have lots of things to choose from and we try and have something for everyone. During our slow season we try and have a dairy-free ice cream option and we also offer a gluten-free bun option. We are a seasonal; open mid-March through the month of October.

Twice in two days and loved it both times. Party of seven and we tried lots of items…jalapeño poppers, cheese curds, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, all kinds of ice cream, Philly steak, double bacon cheese burger! No one had a single bad thing to say about anything we ate! Great prices and portions!

Had brownie sundae with hot fudge and crushed oreo’s, absolutely fantastic. Tonight had strawberry sundae which is fantastic and a double stacked burger, both are delicious and highly recommended. If you are in Eminence Mo. stop by and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed! This place gets crowded so be ready to wait 5-10 minutes but it’s worth it.

My first time stopping at the Dairy Shack. It will not be my last! The servers were so pleasant, the music being played over the sound system was uplifting, and the food was WONDERFUL for a walk up burger place. Seriously, I had the best burger and best fries that I’ve had in a long time. My husband had a fish sandwich that he was equally impressed with. I highly recommend, and already plan to stop in again when I am in the Eminence area.

Quintessential American drive-in right in the heart of the Ozarks. Pork tenderloin, cheese curds, onion rings, and especially the ice cream were all outstanding and a great value; priced affordably with generous portions. Wish we could visit every weekend!
