Dajio Menu – Ocracoke, NC

Type : Restaurant

Location : Ocracoke, NC

Family members Tyler, Daniela, Jesse and Catherine are thrilled to be leading Dajio, founded in 2009 by Doug and Judy Eifert, into its 14th season here on beautiful Ocracoke. As a group, we have 60 years of combined restaurant experience. From line cook, food prep and restaurant management to waiting tables and hosting, we’ve just about done it all. As a family, we dreamed of someday bringing our passion for food and southern culture to our own entrepreneurial venture.

Every dish (new and old) has been thoughtfully created and our lists of beer, wine and cocktails have been carefully selected to pair with our food. Our mission is to create a destination where locals want to gather with friends every week and visitors to the island come

New American fare with lots of Southern seafood in an airy, rambling bistro with an outdoor deck. Based on 838 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $$

Terrific experience on all levels! John was great at service; we had appetizers of scallops and fried green tomatoes (separate dishes; fish tacos and oyster ‘po boy; desert was banana bread and coconut cream pie. Everything, including great drinks, was terrific! We are big fans!

We are heading to Hatteras from Cedar island. Enjoy a dinner here with my wife. It’s an amazing experience. We ordered grilled shrimps and scallops. It’s so delicious and must order dishes. I highly recommend and this is a must-stop place. The waiter is very nice and friendly! The pictures was taken after we ate some.

Ran in to wait on the rain before the ferry. What a pleasant surprise. Hope to come back and sit down with the family next time we are in. John was our server, killed it. He was “John”ny on the spot. Pictures of the food say the rest. Give them a shot, the painkiller did exactly that.

This location holds a special place in my heart whenever I venture to Ocracoke. The quality of the shrimp never fails to impress, and the margaritas are a delightful indulgence. The entire staff exudes friendliness and ensures top-notch service. While it’s true that island visits can be costly, it’s a reasonable expectation at many local establishments. Should you find yourself in the vicinity, I highly recommend making this a priority destination.

The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the scallops I had as an appetizer. Their drinks were not very strong for an alcoholic beverage. It tasted more like a virgin drink than an alcoholic one. The wait staff was attentive and well engaged.

My family had visited Dajio prior and raved about the pimento cheese appetizer and how good the food was so, we decided to visit again. As they had told me, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. The outside patio area was shaded and cool and made for an awesome lunch. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

Just off the Cedar Island to Ocracoke Ferry, Dajio is in a class by itself. Relaxed, comfy and inviting environment with solid recipes and OUTSTANDING service – thanks Daniela! We tried several places during our stay and we voted it Best Restaurant on Ocracoke! Will definitely be back!
