This is a great spot to get some delicious soul food. They also have some caribbean dishes like the brown stew chicken that is so flavorful. One of my favorites is the momma jazzy wings. Oh and the cornbread melts in your mouth! If you are in the area you should definitely check it out.

Great atmosphere, personable staff, excellent food. I’ll bring people here whenever they say “what’s good to eat around here.” Not many places can make instagram-worthy food, but this place does! The best collard greens I’ve had since moving out of the south.

Not sure what’s up with the negative reviews. Maybe things are better now. I placed my order online and got a receipt for a different location but when I called, the gentleman on the phone was friendly and helpful. It will say Hanover but it’s for the Edgewood location.

I have been to Dakari quite a few times and every time the food has been amazing! Wings were phenomenal and the sauce so tasty! Last week I got the curry chicken and it was seasoned perfectly and popping with flavor! The portion sizes are very generous and I highly recommend! The staff are always so friendly and make you feel like part of the family! If you are ever looking for quality soul food, I would 100% check this place out!

Went to Edgewood, MD to try a restaurant based on an article that I read – and boy, we were not disappointed! The workers were friendly, and the food came out pretty fast…and it was hot!!! You could see the steam coming from the platters! Everything was seasoned well – I wish I’d gotten a pic of my sister’s Salmon platter . We all enjoyed our food – oh, and get some of a Mama’s Jazzy Wings while you’re at it! We will definitely be be returning to Dakari Soul Food (if it be GOD’S will)!!! ❤️☺️

FANTASTIC food!! Literally everything we tried was full of flavor and expertly prepared. Definitely an instant favorite! We got the crab cake and curry chicken dinners with the grilled broccoli, cabbage, and the BEST mac and cheese we’ve ever had! Also got the Momma Jazzy wings and they are a killer blend of sweet and spice. Everyone was so friendly even though they were swamped with so many orders (always a good sign).
