Dallas is a place where everyone knows your name type restaurant. I stopped by for lunch as I had a meeting ing the area and grabbed so gizzards. They were delightful, light and crispy. Cooked to perfection. Not rubbery or overcooked like most places do. As I do not have a place around my house that serves gizzards, this was a treat. A lot of people were buying the BBQ chicken. I will definitely return when I am in the area during my future meetings and would recommend to anyone. Must try

This place is an Apex icon. It has great southern cooking just like grandma used to make. The building is old, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. The staff are always friendly and the food is always great! Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful little restaurant! My sister’s in law took my husband and I here for lunch. It was a delicious meal! The staff is very friendly but more importantly the food was served up quickly. We each ate something different and everyone loved their meals. Unfortunately, we had never noticed this restaurant before. But if you are looking for a reasonably priced, quick southern meal then this is the place to go. It’s next to Skipper’s. We will certainly be returning.

We had a loss in the Family and called Dallas and Talked to Ray and had them cater Chicken and biscuits and Sweet Tea and peach cobbler for the celebration of life party it was outstanding it was ready on time and hot freshly cooked food have them do your next party.

Just threw away $5.03 on what was supposed to be a white meat chicken biscuit. It’s hot but definitely under cooked n soggy w Grease. And the biscuit was doughy in the middle. Epic failure!!

The old man behind the register is rude. I almost didn’t stay just because of him. Food is old and not fresh. Green beans just warmed up out of a can. Cornbread bland and dry. Meatloaf was decent. Only good thing there was the sweet tea. Old fry grease smell is all over the store and sticks to your clothes. Well, we gave it a try. Not sure if there is a relation to Dallas TX, but if you want good Texas cooking, do not go here.
