Terrible! I ordered fish with 2 sides. The fish was very doughy & thin, the yams was not sweet and very soupy. The cabbage tasted like ginger for some reason. The drink was good though! 2/10 wouldn’t recommend

I went to Damian’s for the first time today. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for so time now. I arrived about 30 minutes after opening because I heard that sometimes there may be a line. I was glad to see there were only 3 people ahead of me when I went in. While in line it was announced the card machine was not working properly after attempting a few times, so if we would pay cash. I did not have any cash on me, but I was determined to still order and try his food so I left to get cash. When I arrived back there was no line and only one young man finishing up his order. I order deep-fried cajun ribs, Salisbury steak. I received the same sides for both greens, cabbage, rice, gravy, and chicken and sausage gumbo. Woozer, I am so glad I came back. Everything was seasoned well especially the gravy on the Salisbury steak and rice. It had a little kick to it. The service was great except for one employee who appeared to have an attitude/rude to another customer about some rice. The young lady that took my order/prepared my plates was very nice and a multitasker as well as the young lady at the cash register. She offered suggestions and shared her favorites. She was dead on about the pecan candy cake…melts in your mouth good. I think I have become a fan and plan to make many more visits.

This was my first time at this place and the food was SO GOOD! I got the chicken wings plate and it was the best fast food/restaurant fried chicken I have tasted! However, the woman taking orders at the front customer service was not good. She wasn’t friendly and basically just acted like she didn’t want to take orders. Food was great though!

This is a great family owned restaurant the food is delicious the prices are affordable. The best customer service with a smile. I had smoked meat loaf ,cabbage ,sweet potatoes black eyed peas and rice. I was given a rib to sample which I bought a plate to go. You must definitely try the pecan peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Yummy yummy.

I am big on finding black owned businesses to spend my money. I visited Damian’s yesterday for lunch. The young lady at the front register was very polite and professional..VERY ENGAGED with customers!!! Oh God y’all the food was so savory and tasty!! I have to say just a tad too much pepper spice…had me choked up a little but i still kept eating . I ordered Salisbury steak, mash potatoes, cabbage; white navy beans, cornbread and even topped it off with dessert (pecan candy cake) …heaven! Puts ya in the mind of an Italian cream cheese cake just with Damian’s spin on it!! I was satisfied I will be returning for sure!

I ordered once before and the lady answering the phone was a bit abrupt but I looked over it. The food was pretty good 7/10. I called today and she was down right rude. No customer service skills. It made me cancel my order before paying. I addressed it and she hung up in my face 2/10. I need the food to taste good and your attitude to be just as good at all times!!!!!!

My wife and I went to Damian’s Cajun Soul on Mother’s Day. The atmosphere was really nice the young lady behind the counter serving, was very rude. .The young lady at the register however was very nice, professional, and gave great customer service. My wife ordered the oxtails which were delicious I ordered the catfish which, I asked was the catfish really real or was it swai. My order didn’t taste like real catfish, so i asked to trade for wings.The owner came out with a box that said catfish on it and very loudly and rudely told me that it was real catfish. All I wanted was to exchange it for wings and he told me no and I would not get a refund! Will never eat there again nor do I recommend this restaurant to anyone. But please continue to support our black owned businesses.
