If you want great authentic Italian pasta, you don’t need to go through the hassle of making reservations at formal Italian restaurants. You can just come here and eat the pasta of your dreams in the most ridiculously casual manner as if you were going for a Chipotle run. This place makes authentic Italian pasta dishes. I believe the owner is from Abruzzo, so he knows what he’s doing. The menu contains classic Italian dishes (Italian, not Italian-American) and I’ve so far tried two of them: the ragu bolognese with tagliatelle noodles and the mezze maniche alla genovese. Both were home runs. This is one of my favorite pasta places in the city because of how accessible, tasty, and low-key it is. Highly, highly recommend!

Fast, casual, delicious! You can tell they only use the best ingredients in their sauces. The pasta is all handmade and cooked to perfection! I have been working my way through their menu over the past few weeks and haven’t found anything that I didn’t like. Their pesto is particularly good! The owner is also very friendly. Great addition to Center City!

It is very hard to imagine you can find real pasta out of Italy, but this is what Monica and Danilo succeded in at Damò. We were in a group and so curious that we tasted several kinds of pasta and desserts: pasta perfectly cooked, great pesto, super ragù. Also, we tried tiramisù (one of the best ever) and a very good torta della nonna.
