Since I was in the area and craving Poke, I decided to drop by Damo Sushi. I didn’t expect to walk into a cosy looking place. Heck it felt like I was visiting someone’s home. They had 25% off poke bowls, salad, and nachos. So I decided to get some Spicy Ahi Nachos and green tea. The bill came out to $16. The poke nachos tasted pretty good. It is a pity that the nori used tasted a little on the chewy side instead of being crispy. I experience friendly customer service and I got my food ASAP.

Overall a disappointing experience. I had a craving for fried sushi rolls and my go-to sushi spot is closed on Mondays. I looked up the Damo sushi menu and picked my rolls from a picture of the menu. Only to find out at the register that the prices have risen 20% from the prices pictured on the menu. I paid $33 for 2 rolls and ordered nothing else. That’s a very expensive meal for 1! The price shock was the second most disappointing part….there was NO GINGER OR WASABI with my rolls. How can you not include those two crucial pieces?! A sad pile of Romaine lettuce was in my to-go containers, I tried the dressing and liked it, but let the rest go to waste. Miso soup cups also came with it and had 1/4 cup of liquid each. Although the rolls were tasty, the tempura coating was extremely uneven and there was a large dried out piece of tuna on one end. I won’t be back unless they can fix some easily fixable issues with their way of doing business.

I love the decor inside!!! It’s so super cute. The owner obviously put a lot of thoughts into this place and it feels really homie and cozy. The food is also delicious! I had spicy ahi and it was AMAZING.. very fresh tasting and the portion is huge!!! Highly recommended and we will return!!

Stopped by here on a whim and behold I was impressed. The ambiance is lovely Nd very welcoming. I tried the wonton spicy ahi. It’s different and best eaten hot and fresh out the fryer. I will definitely go back and try some other interesting stuff that I seen on the menu. Glad I walked in.

Extremely surprising little place! It’s very poshly decorated with lots of private feeling tables and calm music playing in the background. They even have some cool sushi/poke dishes I haven’t seen before. It’s conveniently located in a small shopping center off of Kam Highway, next to a Long’s Drugs. Parking is pretty hard to find, though
