Dana Kai is a go to for flavorful rolls! They have their “no rice rolls” which I highly recommend. The quality of their fish is great so having no rice allows you to appreciate it even more. It’s a chill vibe and service is always good. This is definitely one of my favorite sushi places in Dana Point!

I have been eating here 2-3 times a month for about 4 years. I absolutely love this place! Everyone is so friendly and the staff takes such good care of their customers. The rolls are so good! You can get more traditional rolls or you can get fancy rolls — all are great. I place pickup orders all the time and they are almost always right on time! In the rare instances they’re running behind you’ll be offered a drink and a seat while you wait 🙂 Dana Kai is the best sushi around and definitely the best service! Keep it up!

Ordered some noodles and 4 rolls. The noodles were solid. The rolls were not… so heavy on sauce you can’t taste the fish, felt like very Americanized sushi.

I like this place primarily for their no rice rolls. Their Daniel and Jeff special rolls are amazing! A little pricey at $18 per roll, but worth it since they have no rice and are packed with goodness and flavor. Service is excellent, atmosphere is nice. Will be back!
