The owners are super nice. A regular gave me great suggestions but I came here for a Jumbo Chili dog. Lol Her family eat there once a week! Could use more drink suggestions, too. Is my only concern. I didn’t try a shake just ordered Sunny D. Next, time. I will try one. It’s known for its milkshakes, too. The regular said that they will even lettuce wrap anything on the menu. Which is nice! The owner gave me an ice cup since I was dining in. Super nice to their customers. My beef jumbo chili cheese was pretty good. Just perfectly hot and you can eat it right away. The bread was perfect for a jumbo held the chili cheese and good. Prices are decent and lots to choose from burgers, fries, wings, nuggets, gyro, too. If I am in the area. I will come back and try something else. It’s in a cute little plaza. Parking can fill up fast. I really love the owners. Pride in their fresh foods. :)) I will be BACK!

Dandy Dogs is an American 50’s inspired diner type of atmosphere. They specialize in hamburgers and hot dogs. I couldn’t resist ordering the NY cheese steak sandwich. Although, I inquired on what exactly their definition of a cheesesteak entailed. It was not what I was expecting. Perhaps, there was some miscommunication. I was expecting a thinly sliced steak cooked on the grill with melted cheese, grilled onions and peppers. What I received was a thin solid steak with cold cheese. The owners provide quick service and were friendly. There were several regulars in the diner having lunch.

Reminds me of my childhood. Good burgers and thick cut fries. Gyro wrap had the meat nicely crisped. Would be even better with a good greek tzatziki sauce but I have not found a tzatziki I like in California yet. Great value compared to other burger places in town.

Not sure if I caught them on an off day or what. I ordered the italian sausage which was supposed to come, according to the menu, with mustard, relish, onions and tomatoes. What I got was a grilled plain hot dog with catchup, mayo and onions. The bun had green mold spots on it. Unfortunately, I had already driven home by the time I noticed that and did not have the time to go back.

Best dogs in Livermore! But more than that this place is just plain good. So to put into perspective just how good a place like this is here’s a quick story. I just back from New York (and being a hot dog guy) I went around and got some hotdogs. They were all amazing. The thing is I came back here and ordered my Cajun HotLink and well it was still just as good as when I left. This place brings a quality I don’t expect from a shop out of Livermore. The onion rings are also amazing. Eat em’ as they come out and they go quick.

I like this old fashioned burger joint very much. The burgers are not greasy and the veggies are very fresh. I typically go with the turkey burger option which is very good as well. The buns are high quality which include a heavy topping of sesame seeds. Try the sweet potatoe fries and a more healthy option to your comfort food meal. I order mine with no salt as they are quite flavorful as is. The hotdogs are very good as well and are of high quality. I assume they are of the Casper Hotdog brand or something very similar. Don’t sleep on the varies sausages either as they are delicious. Looking for something with a bit of ethnic flare? The Gyros are great.

The new owners are incredibly sweet and I was just looking for a local burger spot near my new house. Someone raved about their burgers, and sure enough, they are DELICIOUS! I asked for grilled onions and got them, which are much better than raw onions! The soda fountain is not accessible but they will kindly do refills if you ask. I haven’t tried the actually hot dogs yet but I’m more of a hamburger person anyway. I’m in danger of going twice a week!
