Let’s start with the food, obviously. It’s delicious. I’ve written a lot of Google reviews, but this will be the absolute longest but easiest to date because of the wonderful food and people here. The business is owned by a real Italian family who know what they are doing. The dough is fresh. The vegetables are fresh. They use real Italian pepperoni and meat. Along with REAL, fresh, mozzarella cheese. Just that information alone should get you to where you need to be, but if not, keep reading. This might be a newer building, but they are a family business that has been open in the Dothan area for 30+ years. This is their new location, but this restaurant was established in the 1980’s. Their previously location was in the food court of Wiregrass Commons Mall. The staff here is extremely welcoming and helpful. Very family oriented. There are many pizza places around, but if you want to get it by the slice, by the pie or sample something real that you wouldn’t find at a chain restaurant… this is your spot. My daughter loves this place. She’s eaten pizza in just about every establishment that offers pizza, and she will tell you outright that this is the best pizza around. It’s hard to argue with someone who, for periods of her life, has strictly only eaten a slice of pizza for all 3 meals… for months on end. And I’ll have to agree with her, it ain’t bad. Oh, and I shouldn’t neglect to mention that it is very FILLING! We ordered the current lunch special, which consists of 2 slices of (cheese or pepperoni) pizza and a drink, for $8. We both ended up taking the second slice home. However, if we thought we could have gotten it down, we both certainly would have tried! Of course, every individual’s taste is different, and I can’t say I’ve tried every single menu item here… although I have tried many of them throughout the years… but with that said, for us, this place makes the list for our top 3 pizza joints for sure. I’ve visited this restaurant since I was a child and continue to come back now in my forties with my family. There’s a very simple reason why this family has been around Dothan, Alabama, making people smile for so long. Good food plus good people equals a great experience!

We happened to spot this new restaurant a couple of weeks ago and finally got to have lunch there today. First, I wanted to try a slice of pizza and asked for it to be a little crispy. It was perfect, with a slight crisp and without being burnt on the bottom. The Zucchini Fries were almost addictive! My husband got some crispy wings, Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan, which him and my son loved. My calzone and my son’s cheese ravioli were also delicious. To top it all off, everything that came out was hot. We will definitely be back as there are lots of things on the menu we want to try. Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to the two sweet ladies working the front of the house. They were very sweet, accommodating, and knew the menu well enough to answer questions for us.

In an atmosphere of poor products and nonexistent customer service, it’s refreshing to go anywhere and find both. And to find both at a reasonable price is amazing. The pizza has always been good at Dante’s going back to the ’80s when they opened in the mall, but now the have expanded the menu and (at least the day I went) they have really stepped up their customer service game.

We’re from out of state, just passing through. Googled pizza, saw that Dante’s wasn’t a chain, and looked good. It was! Great toppings, crust was chewy where it needed to be, and crunchy where it needed to be! A great pie, Dante’s staff!

My husband had to have Dantes Friday night. After waiting 45 mins in their 30-45min timeframe I was informed it would be another 25 mins of waiting. When I finally did get my pizza after an hour and 15 minute wait I got home and it was cold. What a disappointment

Dantes never dissapoints. Great service and atmosphere each time we come. Mr. Clemente always makes you feel welcome and he also loves the children and makes sure they are happy whenever he sees them. Dantes is an alround great establishment and the food is the best around.

I took my wife and my son to eat lunch here after school. The food was fantastic. If you understand authentic Italian food (especially the Cannoli) you won’t be disappointed. Excellent customer service. The owner went out of his way to welcome us and he made it a point to speak to my son, who is 3. My son was so excited we heard all about it on the car ride home. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We will be supporting this local family business!

Am not a person to complaint but last night 8/5/2023 i went for the first at your place and the food is great but the customer service in front counter was awful the ladie taking orders was so rude and had a very bad attitude with the family, so sad becuase the place has great food.
