If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I ordered my food on grub hub. Thank GOD I went to go pick it up. While I was waiting for the man in the back, a roach crawled across the sneeze guard. I just left and cancelled the order. When the owner called me back and asked why I left and did I want my order, I told him what happened, he just said “oh…okay. Sorry about that” and hung up (which let me know that they KNEW they have roaches. NEVER NEVER NEVER will is eat out of there.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Small, dimly lit and semi-dirty. Ghetto young girls taking the orders and allow all their friends to skip everyone that’s already in line waiting to order. Food is mediocre at best and definitely NOT worth the disrespect of the “staff”. 1/10 do NOT recommend!

Just bought a jerk chicken with rice and peas and fried dumplings and curry chicken and rice and peas for my wife. Everything was really good. Just wish the jerk chicken was spicy and the curry chicken was cut into smaller pieces. I guess that’s a New York thing. Overall though the food was delicious.

Food was old & spoiled! Had to throw away 2 entire plates. I ate 2 spoon fulls before I realized how awful the food was and it gave me severe diarrhea. I wasted my time & money and I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy! The Dapper chef should not be in business! this restaurant should be shut down by the department of health!!! The worst food I’ve ever purchased. Everything from the rice to the meat & vegetables was old and spoil! Run!!!

Photos give impression of something more upscale, best for takeout. I’ve had better curry but it was no doubt delicious with a nice array of authentic spices. $10 plate with large portion of meat and rice. Cabbage and Mac stife which is typical of Caribbean spots. Owner was a delight. Would def order here again. No doubt.

Was in the area yesterday on business with my sister and son wanted some authentic Jamaican cuisine before heading back to the Jersey shore Stopped in and I’m am so glad we did. We were greeted with a warm smile from the owner who took our orders which included some of their homemade drinks!

I got the oxtails with rice and beans, and cabbage. The oxtails were very tender, however, needs more seasoning. Rice and beans were good and not dry like most restaurants. Also, because the platter itself is already on the messy side in terms of take home containers, they need to invest in actual containers and not plates. Overall, the food was good and with just little changes like that, it can be the best Caribbean restaurant in Trenton. I think I will give them another shot. Not sure how new this place is.
