Dropped by for lunch while in the area and was very impressed by this hole in the wall spot. we ordered the lanb and the fish dish. The flavors were very unique and unlike any dishes we have tried before. The jollof rice is exquisitely seasoned and the rice is an interesting texture, each grain is a lot smaller and firmer than basmati rice and almost feels like bulgur grains. The sauces were very savory and complex. the lamb was perfectly barbecued and brisket-like. Also got a smoothie and a hibiscus drink, both very interesting and complex flavors, hints of orange blossom and a starchy potato (taro? yukka?) in the smoothie and the hibiscus was extremely different than the hibiscus tea drinks commonly sold.

To be completely honest, I am a regular customer and I have been patronizing this establishment for many years in the old location on Colerain and at the Hamilton Ave location. Today, I encountered a completely different staff and not only were they INCREDIBLY rude, they kept forgetting my order and they refused to give me my Plantain free of charge because I paid for it on my last visit already and I didn’t get it. When I called and made them aware of it, they said that they would give me Plantain free on my next order. This new staff that I just encountered refused to honor this agreement so I was forced to abandon my order and leave the restaurant.

I have tried senegalese cuisine before. With such great reviews on Google, I must say my expectation was high. A little frustrated. The food is just good. The grilled lamb was a little too hard to chew, chicken was better. Good portion for the price. The place is clean, has an african vibe, the staffs are nice. I’ll probably visit again.

Delicious food but they left the door open in the dead of winter and brought us in with all the chairs still up on the table and had us put down our own chairs. They also did not bring out water or offer it and it takes a long time to place your order since they are not in much of a rush. Not a big deal for good food but I don’t think you want to go here if you’re expecting the average restaurant hospitality. Definitely a place for take out.

The food was excellent, the restaurant is nothing to be fancy. We visited this place tonight, ppl and their kids were extremely loud showing no respect to others. I suggest to call for your order and do a pick up afterwards. The food was worth every disturbing thing, the dishes were big and the price was good. Definitely going for more pickups

Best and most authentic African you will find in cincy. I took my friend from Atlanta and she said she can’t find better out there! I typically get the lamb 10/10 under the name (Ashley) and i get the fish 20/10 with extra peppers. Sooooo good and so seasoned so well it’s unbelievable. Great customer service! I’ve tried other African restaurants and they don’t compare! They taste like an American dish. This is the best African food you will find!
