My sons and I had plans for early morning fishing but slept past the clock, so our usual breakfast stop in town was no good at this hour, so thankfully as I’m going through the shores I passed a daryls diner, I’ve gone to many of the Daryls but didn’t know one was out this far. Well the food was great, coffee was hot, everyone greeted me and my two crazy kiddos like they see me everyday. LISA W. WAS MY SERVER, I will never go to another Daryls except this one and it’s because of her, and the over all delight it was to be around the staff. Daryls food is very much good at every location so due to the quality of the staff and lisa W. I will drive all the way from the other side of town just to have my breakfast here. Thank yall so much!!!

However, because 95% of our experiences in our food But different Cooks their prepare them different ways . The Waitresses are friendly and quick! The prices are reasonable and the menu options are sufficient. The difficulty with just about any diner is the inconsistency with the food preparation. I’ve come to love my fluffy omelets from Darrell’s, but different chefs there prepare them differently. We’ve also experienced having burnt sausage on the mountain scrambler and burnt biscuits. However, we keep returning because 95% of the time the food is excellent.

Party of four went for a late breakfast on Sunday morning and seated ourselves. We were greeted quickly and had our drink orders as soon as we were seated. Drinks came out fast and our server greeted us to get the food order. Got The Mountain and Country Fried Steaks. Food came out quickly and was fresh and tasty. Server returned and offered refills occasionally and to check on us. As we were finishing up the server dropped off the check and cleared up plates. When she brought the check back she offered to send to go drinks with us and made sure we were all set before we departed. The whole experience was pleasant and relaxed with good food and service. Highly recommend for a nice relaxed Sunday morning outing.

Darrell’s Diner (off SE Merricamp) used to be one of my favorite breakfast places. We walked out the last two visits (including this morning 5/27/2023). First time, we waited 45 minutes for our food and when they brought it out, it was not our food. The server said she forgot to put in our order. This morning, it was busy (no big deal). When the server came by our table (she didn’t stop but while walking by us) rudely and with an attitude said it would be a while. I realize she was probably overwhelmed and perhaps she could have used more help but she was rude and certainly could have handled the situation much better. Sad!!!

My 92 year old mom loves the onion rings here. We will often stop in while shopping and split the daily special and get an order of onion rings. The food is simple, hot and plenty of it.

Friendly service, food was served fast, hot and generous portions. Prices were very fair. Had to clean our own table and floors were messy after Saturday brunch rush . Otherwise would have made the 5 star mark.
