I had the chicken udon, and it was disappointing. While they provided a decent portion of chicken, that was pretty much it. I expected some veggies, too, but got none. So if you’re expecting just chicken and udon with your chicken udon noodle, then that’s fine. I, however, have experienced other takes on chicken udon that are far better than what I got here. So I had expected more.

We chose this place because it is nearby and the ranking is decent. It was a disappointment. The fish in sushi and sashimi was of a somewhat dubious freshness, the roasted unagi was strange, the rice for nigiri looked and tasted like normal overcooked rice. The soup was okay.

The food was really good, especially the Chicken Oyako Donburi. The chicken is well marinated and tender, and the portion was really large as well. The owners are a sweet, friendly couple who made eating here a greater experience than it already is. They even gave us a free chocolate cake – which tasted amazing (rich chocolate with a lovely crumbly cookie base).

Used to pickup for lunch regularly, their service is fast and friendly. Took my gf to try their style of sashimi cuts and we both agreed their rolls and sashimi was better than our other experiences. Will be back for sure and recommend for anyone who is looking for good sushi!
