In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Two days ago I went to Dave’s Hot Chicken and ordered a menu. After taking a bite of the sandwich, I saw a huge strand of hair inside. In order not to disturb other people there, I called an attendant to the table and said that it was hairy. That person said ok and left without taking the basket and I waited for about 15 minutes for him to come back, but no one came, so I got angry and showed it to another female attendant there, told him that I showed it to his friend and did nothing. I left the food and left. Then I sent a message on Instagram but they didn’t reply to him either. The thing that came out of the food was a really big disgusting thing. I will definitely not go there. They have no hygiene or respect. You can see the pictures below.

This place is amazing-the best hot chicken I’ve had! I love how you can choose the intensity of hotness. Drizzle with some honey and it’s perfection. I also like that the chicken tenders aren’t greasy. The fries are seasoned so perfectly, and the pickles add a great crunch. The macaroni and cheese was good. Absolutely going back!!!

Ordered Dave’s #3 combo and the sandwich was actually pretty good. Why I rate my overall experience a 2 stars is the tender had a very heavy dry rub coating that tasted burnt and old. The mac n cheese was velveeta with ole bay sprinkled on it. Everything was one note, it would be nice to have a ranch or blue cheese option to dip the chicken in. The Dave’s sauce is straight up Mayo and spices. I’ve had hot chicken plenty of times this was mega disappointing and not worth the price. Boring fries boring options on the menu. I’m so disappointed. The tables were very sticky and the bathroom was dirty. You can get better hot/spicy chicken at their competitors.

Simple menu. Good chicken. Medium heat was a good spice without being too much heat. The bun was like a yellow potato bun. By itself, it did not have any taste. I didn’t care for the bread, but my husband did mind it. They give you plenty of sliced pickles, which I loved. The slaw was a little on the soggy side and could have used a little more seasoning IMO, still good, and I ate it all. The place looked very clean, and the staff was friendly. Out door and indoor has plenty of tables .

The chicken was so crispy and spicy. Fries stayed hot and crispy for a takeout meal. Their blend of spices is truly awesome. Everyone working there was so sweet as well. Love the recipe that they have. First time experience and now a loyal customer

Very overpriced for what you are getting. $18.80 (16,80€) for two normal chicken burgers and some cheese fries is not that great. Taste was okay but nothing special. In Germany we would say “Wucher”.

Appearance, Texture, Flavor 9/10 really enjoyed it for my first time. Food delivery was a bit slow, I came on a whim, there was no one in line, group of 5 already eating, maybe 3/4 mobile orders and me. Took alittle over 15mins to receive my food that was my only minus

Stopped by with my friend who previously ordered delivery from here. He suggested the medium and hot to get a taste for it, which is what I ordered. Since it was his second time, he got the Carolina reaper (hottest) and had to sign a waiver. We both tried it and honestly, it didn’t seem that hot to either of us, but we both like spicy food. It’s a dry rub for the spices on the chicken, might have been hotter if it were a sauce. Either way, the size of the chicken tenders (which are also used on the sandwich) are huge and worth the money.
