In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This place is great! Small place but the atmosphere is chill and cool. The staff is also really friendly. I ordered the chicken tender and the slider with Cajun fries. The chicken spice was medium, not spicy at all but you can still taste a little bit of spice in it. It was enjoyable, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The fries were good but it needed a little more time in the fryer. The Cajun seasoning on the fries gave it a nice touch. Their special sauce was okay. I had different expectations, but it wasn’t bad. A bit pricey for what you get. Overall the food was good. I will definitely try it again.

I was sent here on a recommendation by a friend and I was definitely not disappointed! If you are looking for delicious flavors and some flat out mouth watering chicken then this is the place for you!! They have something for everyone when it comes to the spice levels, beginning with no spice and going all the way up to their reaper chicken!! The food is cooked to order so it’s always fresh, customer service is excellent everytime I stop in there and they have an awesome selection of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend stopping in to check them out the next time you’re in town!! You won’t be disappointed!!

I went to Dave’s hot chicken after it was highly recommended to my by many coworkers, and discovered a hidden gem in south bend. I got two sliders with fries and it was hot and fresh and some of the best food I’ve ever had. The service from Stephanie up front was amazing and I will continue to go here.

I ordered the slider and tender combo to try both types, as seen in my photo, since I have never been here before. The food was filling and tasty. I ordered “hot” level chicken, which was fairly spicy! I definitely wouldn’t go much spicier than that. I think the chicken in the slider and the tender were the same size. The chicken seemed dry on the outside, but it was tender and flavorful on the inside, so I was pleased. Even after driving ten minutes to get home, the food was at a good temperature. I think it is a bit pricy for what you get (which is why it’s 4 instead of 5 stars), but the food was definitely good.

This may be the best chicken I’ve ever had! Amazing flavor, hot and fresh! The meals are huge! The staff was so nice, fast and personable! This place is always busy, but they know how to handle a line and serve consistently great food! I live 40 mins away from this new location in southbend and keep finding myself planning things that need to be “done” over there, so I can go again! Way better chicken than chick fil a.. it actually has flavor!

Service was good but the food was terrible. Put me and my son in bed sick for 2 days. Do not eat here. Chicken was a hard rubber consistency and the spice was terrible. Then there is the price. $50 for what should have been $20.
