In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The service was fast and efficient, and the food itself had incredible flavor. What impressed me the most was the wide variety of options available, not limited to just hot flavors. They had a range of delicious desserts, drinks, and sides to complement the main dishes.

Cute little place by Homedepot and in and Out. When you’re not sure if you want beef or chicken, come to this plaza and you’re set! Perfect place for a savory chicken sandwich. I prefer zero heat (so does my kiddo) but my SO prefers a 3!

The chicken is pretty good and the sliders are enjoyable. Not the best I’ve had but good. Love that they give tons of pickles. The kale slaw was very bland and more sauce options would be nice since the daves sauce is so-so. As a heads up, the sliders are more like actual sandwiches so for some people the combos are definitely sharable!

I finally decided to try because of my love for a hot chicken sandwich. Overall it was not to bad! Unfortunately they shorted me a fry, but the chicken was pretty meaty and great tasting. Spice was just right at the hot level. The pickles are delicious too. Good stuff I may go back.

Stopped in and ordered some to-go food for the family. This place was busy but they kept the service friendly and quick. The food was great and the Extra Hot was spicy but not overpowering.

The chicken sandwich was very good! The bun to chicken ratio is funny tho, big piece of chicken in a small bun. It was my first time and we had to wait 40min for our order to be ready (Saturday night). I didn’t expect that because I assumed it was more like a fast food but I guess not.

A solid spot for hot chicken. It’s good but it’s not the best or second best I’ve ever had. The chicken itself is pretty good, as are the kale slaw and mac n’ cheese. However, the pickles, bread, and fries leave something to be desired.

Good chicken strips and sliders. Clean place, good customer service. Chicken is really tasty. You can order it 5 ways of hotness. French fries are really good also, they have a great seasoning. I will come back.

I love Dave’s Hot Chicken. I love that they have expanded so much that I can get them outside of Los Angeles. This location always serves the best size tenders. Always a pleasant stop when passing through El Cajon.
