TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A.
In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is amazing!! First time at this location and the food and service were both phenomenal. Engel was so kind and helpful. Food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back again and again!!

I have been to Dave’s at different locations, all of the experiences being just ok. Inside the restaurant there is not much seating, so if you are looking to seat a big party, it might be hard to get a table, as there are only 3 ish tables in the cramped space. It is a clean establishment though. I ordered the #4 (one slider with a side of fries) at medium spice. The spice at medium is not bad at all. The chicken was u expectedly juicy this time, as other times that I have been to Dave’s it was drier. Service was good and relatively fast.#4

I kept hearing about how good their sandwiches are. Having tried many hot chicken places here. Dave’s is just ok. Sandwich portion size is good. Fries are small. The chicken taste decent (might have too much cayenne pepper for some). the sauce is too mayonnaisey in my opinion.

Ladies and Gentlemen, you are about to read a review of a very stupid person who has no spice tolerance, eat the reaper slider.

I got the tenders with no spice (because I’m weak) and it was good, so just imagine how good it must be with spice.

The sliders are huge, its 2 regular size sandwiches! Seasoning is there! And the chicken tenders are huge, and they give you a slice of bread to go with it. You can literally make a sandwich with the chicken tenders! I got the spicy, it was good, just ALOT of dry rubbed seasoning on my chicken tenders so it was very overwhelming. Had so much left over we had to take ours home!

My husband and I shared a 2 sliders combo meal, you can get different spicy level for each of the slider. Chicken is juicy and kale slaw in the sandwich really balance the sandwich, makes it doesn’t feel so heavy. Fires are crispy and good.

Food was really tasty! I like spicy and the medium was the perfect temp where the food tasted great and I didn’t have to gulp down milk in between bites. We got the #3 combo and it was a good amount of food. Fries were also nice and crispy and seasoned well.

Wow, I’m a fan. I went with the number 2, so I could have sliders at different heat levels. The extra hot brought the heat without overpowering and the reaper reminded me of Nashville Hot as it had the extreme heat with the signature burnt spice flavor. This is the first time I had to sign a waiver, but have had hotter without the paperwork. The bread, coleslaw, and sauce made for a nice compliment to the heat and I appreciated that they allowed mixing heat levels on a single order.
