In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Just tried it, and it didn’t disappoint. Fried chicken sandwiches are one of my favorite things, and I hate to be let down when I hear everyone rave about one I haven’t tried. Believe the hype! These are so tasty . And like the names says, they can make a spicy hot chicken . Luckily they have lots of heat options, from no heat all the way up to one with a disclaimer. The batter is very well seasoned and crisp, and the chicken was juicy. The slaw is excellent, and the sauce is awesome. I ordered online and walked in to pick it up with no wait. Totally recommend

The hype for Dave’s Hot Chicken is real. I highly recommend ordering online as lines can get long and definitely were the first couple of times we’ve visited. Parking is easy as it’s located in an outdoor shopping area. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious and very filling. I like that you can pick your spice level too. The milkshakes are also tasty. Everything in Marin seems to close early so I appreciate the later hours. 10/10 recommend.

Solidly meh food. The tenders were good, but the rest wasn’t worth the calories. The slider was quite mediocre, and the fries were lukewarm and limp. They forgot the cheese on the sliders, even though we paid extra. The Dr Pepper was getting weak – it definitely needed to be changed to a fresh bag of mix.

It was great. My second time ever for Dave’s and my first time ordering online. Food was ready for pickup at the time I was told it would be. I actually wanted Chick-fil-A, but they’re closed Sundays, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the sliders with some signature sauce and honey is the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ll be coming back in the future.

What more can I say? 5 stars!!!! This chicken is beyond delicious! I’m not much of a fan of fried chicken, but Dave is doing something special. I’ve had it lite mild, mild, and hot, both sliders and tenders! I’m scared to go hotter than hot. The mild has almost a barbecue rub flavor, but it’s not quite bbq just deliciousness. Kale slaw is delicious, the sliders are delicious, and the fries are to die for! You absolutely cannot go wrong with Dave’s!

First off, if a restaurant serves a side of pickles with every combo on its menu, they instantly have my attention. Second, I’m unsure if it’s in poor taste to post a picture of a half-eaten sandwich, but here it is. On one of my late-night TikTok sessions last weekend I came across a video of a woman eating a Dave’s Hot Chicken slider. After a quick google, I found one in Santa Rosa. Doood! How is this SO GOOD?!
