Every summer I come home for 2 weeks and Dave’s pizza is my first stop. I have now lived in South Carolina for 23 years and Dave’s pizza house special is still the best pizza I have ever had. My pizza eating southern husband even agrees! Please don’t change a thing! I’ll see y’all next June!

I travel from Bovey to eat at this fantastic lll secret pizza place!! I tried the meatball platter this time and my goodness they are exactly what you are hoping for.. and the pizza so gosh dang good. Like none other . The staff is dressed appropriately for the type of establishment and they are so friendly and helpful . Love this place!

This place is a classic old school pizza restaurant. I absolutely loved my server, she was personable, funny and really made my party of 1 not feel so lonely. In addition to the inexpensive house wine which was pretty good, the pizza is a definite winner too. The crust is very unique, it’s very thin, but it had it’s own quality that is unlike any other pizza crust I’ve experienced (in a good way!) All in all, this was a great dinner!

Our pizza was really good but don’t order the house red wine. It’s boxed and it’s kitchen room temperature, not wine cellar room temperature ( not that I expected a wine cellar). We were there about 5:00pm and my fellow diners may have been a little deaf because the conversations from other tables were very loud – not the restaurant’s fault but off putting, none the less.

Ehh definitely not the best pizza. Crazy expensive for what you get. The crust was good & crispy. If you want to exchange a item off a specialty pizza they charge extra. Also a 4% extra charge if you pay with debit card. The building had a old smell to it. Had high hopes after reading reviews. Will not be back. Wish we would have tried Keith’s pizza

As tourists, we loved the local feel of Dave’s Pizza. We had cheesy bread and the #7 pizza. Both were really good and we would go back again and again if we lived here!! Would recommend 10/10!

We visited Dave’s pizza on July 4 weekend and wow, we loved everything we ordered. The crust was amazing, the sauce could use a little more salt, but that’s more a personal choice. Service was really good.

We’ll have to give this place a second chance. They didn’t get our order right, the pizzas were overcooked, leathery enough that we opted to toss a couple frozen pizzas in the oven instead. I would expect better food given the rating, so I’m hoping it’s a rough Friday night and it will improve. Otherwise $50 for pizzas we tossed in the garbage is terrible. If we try this place again, we’ll check the food before we take it home.
