First time trying this, if you’ve never had a dosa the best way I can describe it is that it’s a crepe like pancake but instead of sweet its like Mediterranean flavors. Interesting that it was Veggie but flavorful. I was wishing there was meat to it but I’m not sure if this kind of food usually has strong meat flavors. But overall decent, huge portion and had taken it to go.

I’m not picky about Indian food. But this dosa was 100% WOW The filling, the chutney, beautiful ✨ It’s definitely not traditional, which might explain the reviews?

Underwhelming unfortunately. The shop opens up later than the other shops in Union Market and on top of that the food was average at best.

Located inside union market DC dosa offers great dosa options. The chutneys are not authentic and don’t taste great but the dosas make up for it offering a nice and nutritious fillings.

We saw the timing on google that it open at 11.00am. When we reached at 11.20am a lady was preparing something and there was a board called closed. When asked about timings, she was not very helpful and rudely said it opens at 12.00pm.

Stopped by Union Market to meet few of our folks while visiting DC and was recommended to try this Americanized South Indian specialty – Dosa!

DC dosa is fine for a food stall in Union market but they don’t by any means serve a good dosa. The sambar and chutney are pretty good but the dosa itself is not crisp at all (eaten immediately).

While this is not strictly authentic, the flavors are so fresh and vibrant since they use such fresh spices. Ther idea is a make your own combination dosa where you pick which lentil batter, the filling and then the chutney. It is totally vegan, but you don’t even consider that since it’s so tasty. The dosa or crepe is made to order and then filled. I really enjoyed the eggplant/sweet potato filling and the chutneys were bursting with flavor. Watch out for the heat though which builds as you eat.

Good proportion, friendly staff. Try them if you’re in the area. The taste is okay; I may judge it harshly because i think NY dosas are superior.
