The menu, atmosphere and overall experience were all excellent! We loved the locally-focused menu, and attention to details with every item on the menu. The house-made pickles brought to the table were a fun and delicious touch! Arthur, the owner, is experienced, knowledgeable about his craft, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a thoroughly good experience. We really loved the mushroom ketchup that went with the fingerling potatoes. The vegan menu options were fantastic as well. The atmosphere was quaint and well decorated. The two window seats were perfect! I would highly recommend a visit to DC Kitchen, more than once!

Visited during DC Vegan Restaurant Week and was surprised and happy to see the entire restaurant went vegan! Such a great way to highlight vegan food and make an impact. The food was delicious and I love that they source from local farms.

The quality and the flavor of the food was great! They also had really good iced tea. The portion size is fine though it feels overpriced, even for a dc restaurant. It’s worth visiting at least once.

Farm to table delicious food in north Capitol Hill area. Menu changes weekly according to farm produce available and in season. All grilled items done to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Everyone loved the S’mores Pot Du Creme and everyone wanted “their own”, however the waiter recommended this desert for sharing ..after trying to eat the whole thing including all the fabulous toasted homemade vanilla bean marshmallows, I wished I heeded the waiters advice..huge sugar surge…so try but please share this marvelous desert!

We LOVED DC Harvest’s menu for vegan week! Tons of great options. The BBQ carrots and grits were phenomenal, I really hope they add it to their regular menu. Dessert/drinks were so well curated. The space is beautiful too!

Good atmosphere and good food. Something different in the neighborhood. Pretty popular with the locals, so the place does fill up pretty quickly during dinner time. The appetizer ribs were good, a bit more ginger flavor than I would’ve liked, but nevertheless good. The pork chop entrée was tasty, the pork chop was a good size and perfectly cooked. A place I would recommend.

Enjoyed a Saturday afternoon brunch at DC Harvest. We enjoyed the local ingredients and seasonal menu. My favorite item was probably the wild mushroom toast appetizer. The shrimp and grits as well as the brioche french toast were tasty also. The restaurant was fairly loud even though it wasn’t particularly crowded.

Hearty brunch meals and friendly service. Their bacon and their grits were especially great. We sat upstairs by the fire place but the condensation from the A/C would drip unnervingly close to us. The baked French toast was also very dry.

Ok this was one of the most elegant meals I’ve had in DC. DC Harvest did something incredible for DC Veg Week; they reworked their dinner menu to be 100% plant based and it was all fantastic. If you go for other times, check ahead because their menu is seasonal and the vegan selections vary. You wouldn’t have believed that the three cheese fonduto was vegan. And each of the entrees was absolutely beautiful and delectable. One highlight was the smoked carrots over grits; using a traditional smoking method they celebrated vegetables instead of meat as the center of the dish. There were great wines, and the cocktails were super creative—one was themed around a papaya salad in a glass! Finally, each of the vegan desserts was irresistible and packed with delight for each bite. Chef Arthur really knows how to use the best of local, seasonal, and plant based to create sensational combinations!

Food was pretty good but definitely not worth the price. The only thing I didn’t like was the weird waffle appetizer – warm waffle with cold mushrooms and cheese??? Very strange choice. Vibe of restaurant in general was super pretentious – but lacking the quality to even be so pretentious – for those prices I’d expect a much fancier inside and amenities. You have to put down a deposit to make a reservation – even when there’s no one there, lol. We had to book so far in advanced but it was empty!!! Also, they make you wear a mask at the table when you’re not actively eating, unlike most restaurants that let you take it off at the table. Not an enjoyable dining experience overall – although the service was good. Won’t go back.
