DC’s Smokehouse is one of those local holes that really needs more attention. I can say with certainty that you should phone your order in! This is fresh-made food, like, while you wait. They’d hugely benefit from table-service, and maybe that’s coming, but for now… call it in, and enjoy as soon as you can!

I ordered green tomatoes, baked beans, potatoes salad, rib sandwich, and pulled pork sandwich. The green tomatoes are so good (fried & topped with a smokey rub). Potatoes salad has noseasoning, baked beans does not have meat or onions or bell peppes in it, but they have a good brown sugar & bbq taste. The ribs still had the membrane attached, so I did not eat anything else. Will return for green tomatoes only. Turned off by the meat. Friendly customer service and fast drive through.

Firstly, this is a take out only establishment, no dine in options. Secondly, if you’re getting food around lunch, you better call in the order and plan for a bit of a wait. This is not a bad thing as this is a small mom and pop style place with homestyle cooking. I just had the bacon cheese burger, fries and a drink and it was the best damn burger I’ve had in a long time! I highly recommend this little place!

On our first visit we tried the potato with chicken and the hot hamburger. The chicken has a very good smoky flavor but there was not a lot of it on the potato. The hot hamburger was not made to order (fully topped instead of only gravy and onions) and that may have thrown off the flavor a little. We’ve had better of both from restaurants further away so this is a good location for a quick local pickup. We will come back and try some of the other options later on.

The 1/2 smoke chicken platter with potato salad and bake beans were very good. My wife had the pork with a baked potato and baked beans, which were also very good. I really like how they have their operation set up. I highly recommend you to try their food!!!!
