We tried the shrimp and veggie tacos. I had high hopes to eat some good food outside. Absolute disgusting and expensive. We recommend just ordering the chips and queso. Then go grab a drink from the bar inside! Great outside atmosphere to watch airplanes though. And the staff and service is wonderful!

I’m now a fan of the Austin airport SOUTH since it has great service, fast security, outdoor patio, and…De Nada tacos!! It’s so Austin. It’s so awesome.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear an announcement telling me there were fresh breakfast tacos on the patio of the South Terminal. The little store in the terminal was very expensive ($11 for a small sandwich) and everything seemed to be of a miniature size.

I ordered, left the terminal departure area to the arrival area once I got my food only to realize they got my order wrong. They added eggs and I’m allergic so I couldn’t eat my taco at all. I told the TSA workers and they were nice enough to get the manager for me who fixed my order and brought me back two tacos instead of just the one I ordered.

Our family was flying back home and while waiting for our flight we decided to grab lunch at De Nada Tacos, they have a food truck right outside the South Terminal. We were quite pleased with the food, we had some beef hard shell tacos, a chicken taco (my favorite), a pulled pork taco (dry), some barbacoa tacos, and some frito tacos. You can bring the food back inside or you can eat outside on the outdoor patio and bar.

My wife and I had a long wait at the South Terminal and were very pleased with the food from De Nada. She had a simple cheese quesadilla and liked the way the tortillas were crisped up. I had the Barbacoa and Calabacitas tacos. Both were tasty and I was happy they had a veggie one so I didn’t feel like I pigged out. Next time I might just have 2 calabacita tacos.

So I was pretty bummed when I walked off the plane and realized that Frontier automatically puts you at the smaller, less exciting “South Terminal.” I had my whole 5 hour layover mapped out. Thank God for De Nada Tacos. It’s always good when the employees don’t point you somewhere else when you ask for recommendations. I was told I should try the carnitas- which was bonus point number 2 bc I LOVE CARNITAS. This place is awesome. The outdoor seating area was just perfect and the whole atmosphere mixed with the amazing taco really made the time fly. I can’t wait to get stuck near De Nada Tacos again.

What better than eating delicious breakfast tacos, outdoors, at an airport terminal. I got the barbacoa and the bacon ham and cheese, with an orange jarritos.

The beef tacos are some of the worst I’ve had. Typical Ortega taco seasoning and shells. I could make better tacos with my eyes closed and half the ingredients. I can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Their microwave didn’t even melt my cheese. Get me out of Austin. There are more authentic tacos in Fairbanks, AK.
