I used to eat here back in the day and the food was great. But now it’s horrible and so is the service. I ordered 4 platters at 3 o clock and I was told it would be ready in an hour, called back and they told me another 25 minutes. Get there and it took another half hour and the food came to $102.00 just for two platters to be missing sides. I tried to go back within fifteen minutes of noticing the sides missing and the restaurant was closed at 6:15pm, although the lady told me they closed by 7pm. The Mac and cheese was so blend and I was so annoyed that I didn’t even want the rest of the food. Never again.

Best soul food in Philadelphia. Best soul food north of the Mason-Dixon. Be prepared to wait (I always call in with my order), but it is well worth it. Everything is amazing (fried chicken duh) but the corn bread is legendary (and sells out fast).

I intended to drive to this place and place an order because I’m craving really good soul food. I’m from New York and it’s 6 PM and I’m used to places being out of food in Philly so I called to make sure they still had macaroni and cheese and I was greeted by the rudest individual. I’m hungry but poor customer service will always miss money from me.

Pros: Very good soul food. Honestly, this was some of the best soul food I’ve had in a while. I ordered the turkey wings platter with Mac and Cheese with Cabbage. Everything was finger licking good. The portions are generous! I appreciate the amounts she gave. I had some left over for the next day.

Best soul food in the city of Philadelphia… bar none! Have patience – fresh & delicious soul food isn’t fast food, and when you come here, it’s worth the wait and the portions. Hope you enjoy!
