Fun environment with their large patio. Tasty halibut tacos! I recommend getting the spicy tacos versus the mild. It’s not that spicy at all and the sauce is better compared to the mild. Service was fast for how busy they seemed to be. Got our tacos in about 15 minutes. There’s also a stall to get oysters and champagne! Worth the stop for lunch or dinner if you’re in Juneau.

Total tourist trap. If you go, be prepared to wait. The line is 10-15 minutes, and food takes another 30+ minutes to come out. There are crowded tables to stand at to eat the food. The fish tacos are fresh, although nothing outstanding, particularly given the quality of seafood in Alaska.

This is an awesome place. It is a takeout establishment with a central courtyard to hang out and eat with a few other vendors sharing the area. It is a great idea and pretty fun. The halibut and rockfish tacos were amazing! I couldn’t stop eating them. I will definitely be back for more.

Wow!!! We were looking for something different from cruise food when we stopped in Juneau. Hubby found Dave’s and it doesn’t disappoint. Great taco sampler and YES!!! Get the salmon tots! Outdoor seating and a bar. We got 2 local ciders and went back for 2nds on the tots

Another fabulous lunch at Deckhand Dave’s! We live in Juneau and this is always our first choice for a lunch date. Exceptional service from ordering to taco delivery. Great ambiance and mix of tourists and locals. The salmon, halibut, and rock fish tacos today were as delicious as our last visit. Thanks Dave your extra effort for excellence and phenomenal staff are greatly appreciated!!! Tip for others, don’t pass on the beer or oysters!

When you see a line to order, it is a good sign. The rating were totally correct. The food was fresh and the halibut fish n chips were cooked to order. It is a little bit of a walk from the ship. But just look at it as working up an appetite. Highly recommend.
