My partner and I came in today for a late plate lunch, wasn’t expecting much since it was 3pm. The plate lunches were absolutely delicious. I tried the fried fish as well, it was perfectly cooked. I’m not in the area very often. Passed by fast food restaurants, searched Google for local offerings, and found Deedy’s. Was not disappointed! I had a plate lunch of smothered beef ribs (with bones), sweet corn, green beans, and corn bread. We are fortunate to have lunch offerings such as this around Acadiana.

Doordash drivers be aware, I got an order to pick up from this place. The owner informed me she didn’t have lemonade,so I the driver contacted the customer to let the customer know that they didn’t have lemonade. The customer asked me “could you cancel my order”? I said sure. So I called to cancel the order with doordash upon the CUSTOMERS REQUEST. The owner of Deedys instantly got really mad & told me “I’m going to lose $ on this”. I told her “ma’am it’s what the customer asked me to do”. I even showed her the phone & the messages of the customer wanting the order canceled. So doordash cancels the order after they contacted the customer to confirm that she wanted the order canceled. So I leave.
