Not a pleasant experience with the staff and manager. They agreed to change a chicken burrito to shrimp (a cheaper meat), but only if I paid 33% more for the dish (an extra $5). On the menu they have shrimp for other meals at the same or similar price for a dish. A simple explanation they couldn’t do the substitution would have been ok with me, but instead they offered to do it for a ridiculously large mark up on the item, that doesn’t make any sense for the cost of shrimp.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Del Rio for many years but today’s experience has me questioning whether I’ll return again. I have several complaints about today’s service but primarily the fact that after I ordered a drink + queso, no wait staff ever came back to my table until 1 hour/15min later❗️ Fortunately I wasn’t in a rush and I fully expected my waiter to say “sorry” for never returning to my table… instead, he became defensive with a rude attitude and questioned why I didn’t wave him down to get his attention. I explained to him that as a customer the expectation is that wait staff will return to the table rather than me having to wave my arms to get someone’s attention. He clearly did not agree and was rude the rest of my visit. The waiter (who was also bartending as well I believe) also said he thought the queso I ordered was “all I wanted” even though I never told anyone that the queso was “all” I intended to order but even if it was “all” I wanted SOMEONE on the wait staff should have come back to my table to bring the check or to ask if I wanted anything else to drink. 75 minutes is a long time to have a customer sitting there and no staff follow up in any way whatsoever and then to blame ME for the long wait was quite pathetic and at no time did this guy say “I’m sorry you were forgotten” or something along those lines. And it’s worth noting that the restaurant was not crowded during this time. The employee I’m referring to walked past my table repeatedly looking miserable to be at his job and never once during 75 min. did he look my direction. After I finally got to eat lunch I had hoped to see some sort of discount on my bill (or at least free queso) but NO, I was charged full price for my entire meal. As I was leaving I asked a waitress to tell me the name of the Manager and she said “I no speak English” so I left without knowing the manager’s name. If the bartender/ waiter who ignored me today for 75 min. is in fact the “Manager” all I can say is Lord help us all.

I loved Del Rio. We always go here for family occasions and In general we just always eat here. Today I decided to order a Super Barito. It was so so good. It is a lot bigger than I was expecting though. I did end up making the executive dision to only eat half. Regardless Del Rio is a great place to eat with family and friends.

Del Rio is a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Leesburg. They often have chips and salsa on the table before we have time to open a menu. The steak fajitas and service are great.

this place is not even a Sentić Mexican food. The tortillas that I got were frozen tortillas they don’t use fresh tortillas. The meat wasn’t even season properly. They give you a little bit of rice and beans for the price. It’s not worth it do not recommend this place if you want authentic Mexican food this is not the place.

I was not pleased with this restaurant. The food was cold and subpar compared to other Mexican food in the area. Worse than the food and service was the horrible smell of garbage when you park. We wanted to sit outside, but the disgusting smell of garbage overwhelmed us as there is a dumpster filled with rotting trash right outside the patio. I would NEVER go back here.
