Great place. Easy to have a conversation with your eating partner or dine alone and not worry about background noise.

Great speakeasy-themed bar and restaurant located in downtown Stockton. They have a wide variety of food available such as flatbreads, sandwiches, and appetizers all reasonably priced. Their vegetarian flatbread was alright and the asparagus potato skins were a little strange, but my favorite are the $5 nachos (salsa, cheese, and jalapenos) since they pair well with whatever I’m drinking at the time. Their specialty drinks are super tasty and have fun names; my go-to is one that has lemon, sparkling wine, and elderflower liquor. Service can be hit or miss, with busy nights corresponding with slow service at the bar or you might get lucky and have Megan (?) the bartender to yourself. She provides great conversation, checks up on your periodically, and makes some strong drinks.

So glad DB is open again. I had my usuals Fruits of Poisonous Tree & Moscow Mule. Good vibes, music, food, and now they have pool tables. Thanks Jacob, owner, for creating a relaxing & welcoming bar & restaurant.

Cocktails were pretty good, and the ambience is second to none in the area. Food leaves a bit to be be desired, but overall it’s worth a shot.

Great downtown venue! Flatbread pizza with roasted veggies and garlic pesto sauce was amazing. Nice bar!

The environment is very laid back and low-key. The staff here is amazing, very friendly; especially Melanie and Tony the bartender’s. The nightly entertainment consists of Comdey Night, to local bands playing live music, to cover solo artist’s serenading the patrons throughout the night is top notch. Last but not least the menu is well priced and the food is amazing. I have not had anything off the menu that I didn’t like (Compliments to the chef/s). I recommend to check out this hidden gem.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and Prohibition-themed. Some neat drinks, plenty of beers to try, and delicious things to nibble on. Their mixed drinks are well themed and quite tasty too. The bartender and waitstaff were friendly and available whenever we needed. This place is a gem in downtown Stockton and I’ll definitely be recommending it to others.

Food is serviceable, it’s not fantastic but you won’t be disappointed, either. Waitstaff are kind and personable, however, service from the kitchen is a bit slow. The unique environment is absolutely fantastic, however! Classic soft jazz (Think Rat Pack), Turner classic movies instead of sports playing on their TV’s, make this a really relaxing place to grab an old fashioned and socialize. Also, the location is steadily increasing in quality. Downtown is still afflicted with a homeless problem, but I don’t feel particularly endangered by drinking there anymore.

Looks I would give 4 stars, very hip and nice but think there is still some room for improvement. Food 3 stars, the potato skins seemed half filled and dry, the sandwich was good but the potato chips I assume made in the restaurant were overly hard. Music 3 stars, good choices in music but would recommend investing in more speakers so it’s not blasting from one corner of the building. Staff 4 stars, really nice and gave good drink recommendations, but could do little better on checking in on tables. Drinks 4 stars, good beer variety but wish there were more cocktail options. Average is 3.6 but rounding up to 4 stars because I think this place is on the right track and will definitely return.
