The tamales were ok. The regular pork tamales r the best ones..the other ones were not that great..i guess its my fault for not sticking with what i know!! But watch out cuz $9 a dozen for them is usually a ok price now a days but when they rip u off half of the tamales they gave u its ridiculous to get charged!! All the other tamales were full and not done half a$$. But only the reg pork about half the dozen was only about half the tamale inside the corn husk!! Cant believe i got ripped off like that

This is the best tamale (take-out) restaurant especially for tamales in San Antonio. Whenever I’m there, I buy several dozen for family. I have been buying from them 20 years and beyond. One of the greatest Tex-Mex foods back there! So anyone who goes there, buy them. You’ll love-em!

I’ve never had an issue and I come here all the time, but today my pork tamales were raw! Wasted my money and I don’t have the time to go back. So disappointed, next time you go check your tamales before you leave!

Very poorly made. At $9 or more, in price, they are definitely overpriced! I wouldn’t even call these tamales. I purchased a dozen each of pork, bean, and chicken. They were all the same, small and falling apart, some not even in the husk. The chicken were a little better. A waste of my money and time. I definitely plan on making a complaint

Very disappointed with the tamales this year. I have always gotten tamales from here every year. They are a lot smaller and don’t have much flavor. On top of them being so small the price went up. Will definitely not be buying here again

I was very glad to be able to walk up and get my tamales. Three other stops had provided no tamales. Other shops were only filling preorders. Very orderly only one person at counter very fast and efficient. Had great backup support. Will not waste my time for New Year’s I will go straight to delicious. Of course no one makes them like mom use to.

If you accept that tamales are not a diet food, and that “delicious” is a stretch, this little store still deserves a high mark. Service is good, the place is clean, and their pork with jalapeno tamales are tasty. During the holidays there will be a line, but they keep it moving. Besides, a little lard once in a while probably helps lubricate your joints…

Tamales are good and lots of flavor! Just pay special attention to your purchase. Sometimes what you ordered and what you get may not match up.
