Food is delightful and the ambience is quiet and non pretentious. I had tartine du jour and onion soup with rose. This place is a real gem. I am so happy that a local resident recommended this place to me upon chance.

I had a fabulous early dinner here with my mother. The owner and staff all made us feel incredibly welcome and we left feeling as if we had taken a mini vacation to France. Paté, Salmon, and Baguette were perfect and we look forward to our next visit. I recommend Demarchelier to anyone who enjoys classical French food in a classical French bistro environment.

My husband and I came here on a Friday night in July for a date night. We were welcomed at the door by the owner, Emily, and decided to sit inside on a hot, steamy night. The decor was beautiful, the service was great and the food was outstanding! I had the soup of the day, which was a cold zucchini soup and my husband had the French onion soup. I then had duck confit and he had the beef stew, which was a special. The portions were huge and the flavors were spot on French. If you are looking for authentic French food, this is the place to be! A perfect date night out with all the right touches.

Authentic French cuisine and cozy atmosphere. Think we’ve tried most items on the menu, since we keep returning here when we’re in Greenport. Very consistent food. Be sure to leave room for their delicious Crepe Suzette!

What a beautiful restaurant. Almost perfect. Just a few adjustments to the interior– replace the amateurish paintings of American celebrities with something more appropriate to the setting. The baguette bread is a bid hard and I was afraid one of my false teeth were going to pop loose. A European escape.

Lunch for four turned out to be overpriced. Six small plates, one lamb shank, 2 glasses of Sauvignon blanc and 1 beer came to over $200. It would have been helpful to have included the prices on the specials blackboard.
