You know that the food is amazing and service is dependable when you see other posting about going to other places. We LOVE this place and the new menu. The dishes are cleaner and more flavorful. The chicken and waffles are the best hands down. We are going back for more. The place is busy but you get in and out of there in good time and folks love it. What pulled us in was the crowd.

Denis’ has a long standing reputation for great food. We went on Mother’s Day and they only had a buffet offering for $42 and three different omelets. I went with the buffet because the omelets didn’t appeal to me.

Used to go there 2 times a month with my friend. Went today and ordered what I always get, strawberry waffle and a soda. What was a big $20 meal with lots of strawberries and free refills is a $5 soda with no refills for a total of $30 with tip and 1/2 the strawberries. It’s still a diner with plastic booths! You just lost 2 long standing customers. One server for the whole place. The cook had to come out and take clear our plates.

We have been going to Dennis Country Kitchen for several years as long standing members of the community, we were sad to see Dennis retire. But life goes on and we wish him well. We went to visit under the new ownership and were met with a lot of the same friendly servers and the owner takes the time to come out and personally check on you. I for one am excited that they are trying new things and I appreciate the variety of options! ( If possible please include some grain free options. 🙂 I noriced reviews talking about the cost. Well folks! We have a small business in town as well. Everything costs more these days, so I expect that eating out would be no different. I am grateful I can still come and get my amazing omelets and french toast on a saturday morning with my husband and/or kids and now they make fresh squeezed OJ!! Lets keep Lodi thriving and support small business. I think Dennis would be so proud to see it still going!!! Looking forward to our next time there! Keep it up DCK business!
