Service took awhile tonight, but the Nachos were fantastic and my wife and I both enjoyed our entrees. We both had chicken skillets and we both thought they were fantastic. This Denny’s location can be hit or miss, but tonight it was very good.

Perfect travel stop. I rarely eat at Denny’s, but I did stop in this one because we are road tripping and I needed some boost. We pulled in at 6am and right away there was a nice waiter offering us coffee. There were 3 of us and all of us ordered their famous slam. We did not wait long at all even though there were lots of people waiting. The food was very good. I really enjoyed my fruit, which was so fresh. The bathrooms were decent, as expected at 6am.

As most of us know not all Denny’s are created equal. Mount Jackson’s, (not to be confused with mountain,) is a good one. Clean, good food and service. That is what eating out is all about. However if you need a fresh horse I am afraid Mount Jackson has had to close it doors to that commodity due to lack of demand

It took a minute to be seated. They were shorthanded that day. The only server was busy ringing out other guests. We got our food in a decent time. My wife wasn’t too particular about her meal. It was a bourbon chicken skillet. It had a little too much grease and liquid with the veggies. We had to ask for napkins, and we had our seven year old with us. Not something you leave off when you have a child with their parents as guests. I’d go again but hopefully on a more energetic day/shift.

started off we were seated in the middle of the first dining room. 5 minutes later another couple was seated directly to our left. within minutes their server came to their table and took their drink orders. we still had no one come to our table or acknowledge us. No one would even look at us or tell us they would get to us shortly. Then their waitress came back and brought their drinks and took their order. We still had no one. finally after we said loud enough. ” are we invisible ” the hostess came and took our drink order. finally another server, that wasn’t supposed to be ours, came and brought our drinks and took our order. The other couple got served. we still sat and waited. empty coffee and water cups. When our food was finally brought. the other couple finished eating and left. I had ordered the veggie omelet without mushrooms and with grits. The grits were cold and the omelet was loaded with mushrooms. The waitress, that was not originally ours, and the hostess ,at check out apologized but no one offered any discount. WORST experience I think I have ever had at a restaurant. I will NEVER grace the doors of this restaurant again!!!

Food was good once we got waited on. All waitresses walked around everyone without waiting on any of us. I understand they had a couple of large parties but come on Denny’s wake up. There were people waiting in the lobby to be seated. Lots of tables free. No one seating them. A waitress (Cheryl) finally stopped to ask if we had been taken care of us. When we said no she did it. Wonderful waitress. She was supposed to be working the large parties but took time for us. Food then came quickly and was hot and delicious. Denny’s you need to get on the ball. We were ready to walk out!
