Not bad to have sirloin steak at. After having had a not so pleasant food dining experience, this was actually good food. My friends were satisfied with their onion rings. I was skeptical about the rice but it turned out okay. The only downside to this was having our food taking forever but the server was super nice and made sure that our orders were done.

Saturday 5/6/23 was the second time we ate at the Poulsbo Denny’s. Beings this Denny is relatively new, everything is still clean and fresh looking, and the seats, at least for now, are comfortable.

Ordered the Gluten Free Philly Cheese Steak Omelet w/ Gluten Free English Muffin. Food preparation and taste were very good. But. When the server place my plate in front of me. There were 4 pieces of wheat toast laying on top of my Food to which belonged to my friends order. The server stated, “oh so sorry about that”.. do they not understand, that’s enough contamination to make me sick!! With the servers lack of fully understanding what they did I’m posting a two star experience directly issued to the server and management. Gluten free report card: F

Don’t normally give a 5 to a place like Dennys but this one was modern, clean and bright. The servers were definitely stretched but they were hustling and there were no complaints. Can’t beat the value of a Grand Slam. Drinks are way overpriced though. Definitely will return.

Ordered online (didn’t eat inside due to illness), got home and was missing protein from both meals, decided it wasn’t a big deal and started to eat the rest. Found 3-4 pieces of hair in my pancakes- grossed out, I called the location and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor said that if we ate in-house they would have possibly taken a percentage off our ticket or remade our food but because we ordered online- those weren’t available. Completely grossed out, I didn’t want food from the same location remade for me to drive out and pick up, again.. at this point, the supervisor said that he had no authority to offer any other options (refund, discount, gift card) to make this right. I’m not expecting perfection but I paid over $40 for 2 incomplete meals, couldn’t use curbside as a safe pick up, and had someone else’s hair in my food (pancakes). It isn’t always this gross or frustrating to eat here, but that was my experience today.

Hate to give a bad review, but the service was suuuuper slow and the food came out lukewarm. We even had to ask for our food after waiting about 30 mins. Asked for bacon well done and it came out way undercooked. Waste of food. On a final note, we watch one guy sit down wait about 15 to 20 mins without a server going over to his table so he just got up an left. About 1/2 the restaurant wasn’t even used; they must be very short staffed.

The Poulsbo restaurant is exactly what you’d expect from a good Denny’s. I have several food intolerances that are not life-threatening, but serious. Over the last 10 years or so Denny’s has been a good place for me to get a safe breakfast, especially in states that are not quite as allergy-aware. This Denny’s did a good job of preparing our food as we asked. They were out of the gluten-free muffins at the time, but gave us the opportunity to make a substitution before the food was made. I got poached eggs, which not all cooks can do well, but these came out nicely. The only thing that I would have liked is that the turkey bacon wasn’t very crisp. I miss real bacon but can’t eat pork, turkey bacon isn’t a bad substitute but it’s not as good lightly cooked, it needs to be more well done.

Honestly, I was a little concerned based on the poor reviews of the new Denny’s Poulsbo location. However I took my mother-in-law and my wife for a late brunch one Sunday afternoon and we had terrific service and impeccably hot and tasty food.

Was just there for late lunch on 8/9/2023. The kitchen staff still don’t know how to make instant mashed potatoes! Way to much liquid in them. Husbands chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy. The potatoes looked like the gravy! Very runny. The soup was lukewarm, chicken noodle soup which he said was very good. Just not hot enough. I had a cheese burger that was way to salty AGAIN. This is our 3rd time trying these 2 dishes. Staff are awesome (Emily and Josh) who cater to us even in a big group I have there monthly. Will go back, but will find something else to choose.

Our group of 4 adults stopped at midnight on 8/6 and was met by the most delightful and sweet young lady, Angel. She lightened our night of horrors with a smile, a few lighthearted quips and pictures of her handsome little boy. The food was made to our individual orders and delicious.
