Definitely a cool spot to visit! Food was great! Service was a slight miss, though, unfortunately.. you’d think a place like this, the waitress would be friendly… ours was not so much. Still recommend a visit. ➡️Also, before leaving town, go north a few blocks to see a cool old gas & service station!!

The food was delicious. The service was great even though the place was full. The portions are large which was very nice. The room had some peeling paint and could use a little TLC. The kitchen leaked a little smoke from cooking into the dining room. But overall, it was great food and should be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I would go there again. My wife’s cheese omelette was wonderful. I had a ham and cheese. It was excellent also.

Sweet & lovely waitress along with delicious food. The pancakes were epic and coffee hit the spot. The omelette (American cheese and onion) was cooked exactly as I like! My friends got biscuits and Canadian ‘poutine’ (was NOT called this!). Taylor tot we’re perfectly crispy!!! We were so satisfied to see the food we forgot to take pictures! Believe me-it’s worth the stop!

Food was Fantastic, had breakfast last week and lunch today. If you have time in your travels, you need to take THIS timeout.

Just off I-64 at the New Harmony, IN exit, turn right from the Indiana side or left from the Illinois side at the stop sign and the Depot Diner is just up ahead on the right in Griffin, IN.

The food was very good and the facility is clean with very friendly service. There are specials as well as a range if regular menu items. It is worth a stop to get away from the chain fast food places. The town has an interesting history with the destruction from a 1925 tornado and the oil discoveries that led to 12m barrels per year back in the 50s. The local community frequents the spot for lunch. At the register you will find some amazing pies in a case that are hard to skip over. Also, tickets are not brought to the table so just go to the register when you’re ready to go.

Friday at 9:30, had great reviews so pulled in expecting small town hospitality. Waitress had somewhat of an attitude. Assumed it was me but then noticed she was that way with everyone. Sad bc it turned what could’ve been a great experience into a so-so one. Food was great, half omelet was large and covered in cheese! 11 bucks for half omelet and cup of coffee.

Small little diner with great food and fast service! Just what we were looking for! We showed up with 13 people and were in and out within 30 min. Good portions

I learned about over medium eggs in a small town in Montana (Opheim) back in ‘91. For our European friends that’s, “turned eggs”. Over the last 34 years I have been mostly disappointed with such eggs from Seattle to Charleston, SC. It’s awful. But I keep trying.

The food is fine, diner food. The staff aren’t super friendly, which was a surprise. It also took a while to get our food, so if you bring kids, bring a snack so they don’t get antsy.
