Great pork ribs. Really tender. Picking one up or just taking a bite of it would cause all the meat to fall off the bone. Potato salad and coleslaw were pretty good. The bbq beans were really good. Would go back if I am back in the area. Employees were really helpful and nice.

The food was fine but the waitress got passive aggressive whenever we asked for what we ordered. They kept saying the menus were old so that they wouldn’t honor the meals that it said, though they did not clarify in the beginning what was and was not correct on the menu for us to be informed. We ordered dinner plates but did not get any of the sides the menu said it came with because “the cooks don’t usually do that.” In that case, they should make new menus rather than blaming the customer for asking for their order. We were shocked at how good the prices were on the menu, but that’s only because they ended up marking them all up on the final ticket & the receipt did not include any listed prices for us to check the amount they overcharged. We do know a menu item marked $6.99 resulted in a $15 meal…. Waitress was also talking bad about us to another customer as we left. Disrespectful waitress (Ally) and overpriced, mediocre food. Wouldn’t recommend.

Legendary Brinkley BBQ lives up to it’s reputation! Had the chopped bbq sandwich with slaw, potato salad and beans. Simply outstanding – I especially enjoyed the savory/spicy molasses based bbq sauce. Kicking!!!

Me and my brother had ordered the 3-rib dinner plate, and I had a lemonade. Dinner plate came with a scoop of coleslaw, some macaroni salad, a slice of Texas toast, and a cup of beans. Of the mom-and-pop restaurants I’ve been to in the Midwest, their food was among the most delicious. Hungry travelers, your prayers are answered.

Stopped in spur of the minute. Great staff and everyone was very friendly. The catfish sandwich was one of the best things I’ve ever tried and I make it a point to travel a couple of times a year just to eat something different. Will definitely be stopping in again and I won’t be waiting very long!

Found this place on the map and it did not disappoint. Their beans are some of the best tasting ones we have ever had. Very simple decor but friendly people. Would definitely eat there again. Patriot Americans run this place and I loved that!
